As Doms we see people often in the moments of greatest joy and happiness. That comes from providing the space for authentic real expression. With that comes responsibility too, with real, authentic expression comes our seeing those in our charge at their most raw, unfiltered and yes, vulnerable. We have as Doms the capacity for great good or great evil (not the fun consensual evil). Remember, when all is said and done, treat others as you would wish to be treated, and understand you have to stand in front of your mirror each morning and look at your reflection. For some that will be easy as we fire off a cheeky wink and smile to ourselves, for others…well you know what you did, what does your reflection show or tell you?

On ‘It’s not just you’. Not one of My typical posts today, but one prompted by a few interesting conversations with My subs. Also I’m not going to lie I have seen some great poetry on the TL the last few days. My poem ‘Again’ I wrote in March of this year after going through a serious of excrutiatingly painful events in a short space of time. I didn’t post it here or to My insta even, it would have seemed dramatic or self indulgent. But I know there are a lot of people here carrying heavy burdens day by day, people a little frayed around the edges or damaged by a world that can seem brutal or uncaring, fickle or cruel. Just to say I see you, I feel you and though it may feel like it, you are not alone in this human experience. There are times to rest, times to collapse and times to set your face as flint and simply keep putting one foot in front of the other until you feel like ‘you’ again. Anyway I hope you enjoy My poem, even Doms can hurt.
