The Peter Serafinowicz Show Christmas Special. HOW is this not better known? In its own idiosyncratic but entirely accessible comic universe, highly original from start to finish and there isn't a single sketch that misses. AND THAT'S *STILL* NOT ALL!

I used to love The Lotus Eaters, and had rather a thing for Wanda Ventham at the time.

On this day in 1980, an unscreened (for obvious reasons) and revamped pilot version of TOTP was recorded. BBC crew members were drafted in to impersonate the hitmakers (with varying degrees of success).

#OTD (7 June 1980) I wandered around the studio at BBC TV Centre, being a nerdy nuisance, shooting amateur BTS footage of the making of #thehitchhikersguidetothegalaxy pilot episode, using a borrowed (heavy!) portable VHS VCR.

People are sharing their memories of Ruth Madoc. You may not be expecting a post from us, but she did in fact serve the first breakfast at Magor services back in 1992. It was a stunt from Granada to launch their new facility.
