Often, training is just about getting in the right effort. And with power, you always know exactly how hard you're working, no matter where you're running.

Pace can mislead a threshold effort. Power can’t. On a 6 × 1500, the downhill half was 4:58 at 459 watts. The uphill half was about the same pace at 510 watts. Same prescribed effort. About a 50-watt swing.
Read yourself against runners like you. The histograms show where you rank versus similar athletes in the Stryd ecosystem, then you pick one or two levers. Ryan’s were Duty Factor and Impact Loading Rate. What was already working (Vertical Oscillation, Leg Spring Stiffness) they left alone.
Wear Stryd on every run. Easy runs, warm-ups, cool-downs, workouts. Elite analysis starts with a complete dataset, not a highlight reel of hard days.
