Today I was proud to join my Skilled Trades Caucus colleagues to announce Alberta’s government is investing $43 million to plan the Advanced Skills Centre (ASC) at NAIT, training an additional 4,200 apprentices every year.
The ASC will deliver apprenticeship and technology-based education in some of Alberta’s most in demand fields including; construction, transportation, manufacturing, and energy.
Special thanks to Chloe Sperling and Mary Beazer, two of our outstanding Skilled Trades Youth Ambassadors, for supporting today’s announcement and encouraging more young Albertans to begin careers in trades.
