Zelensky: It's a pity that we are losing a strong partner. Morgan: You think you're losing America? Zelensky: Yeah, but not because of us. We canโ€™t be weak. Otherwise, we canโ€™t surviveโ€ฆ This is why itโ€™s painful when Trump chooses to be on Russiaโ€™s side. This is not the right side of history.

Good analysis - only thing you forgot to mention is that US consumes about 3,6 - 4 million barrels of diesel per day so this entire deal only covers about 2-3 days worth of consumption. Hardly a dent in anything and will definitely not move prices downward

Have you all seen Trumpโ€™s announcement of his SUPER PUTIN DEAL? Russia promises to immediately supply more than 300,000 tonnes of diesel to the market, including the US, followed by another 500,000 tonnes in November. Then come promises of EVEN BIGGER volumes. Because the deal has to be HUGE. At least in the post. OFAC, of course, wasted no time issuing a temporary waiver until April 7 to accommodate the presidentโ€™s latest โ€œGENIUSโ€ deal. Except the BIG DEAL is not actually that big. More of a stage prop. Very Trump. Letโ€™s do the maths. Actual numbers. TERRIBLE, I know. 300,000 tonnes is roughly 2.2 million barrels of diesel. 500,000 tonnes is roughly 3.7 million barrels. In September, Russia managed to export just 0.1 million barrels. Basically none, as there is export ban. So Putin has already โ€œsoldโ€ Trump a volume 22 TIMES larger than Russiaโ€™s entire September exports. Making promises is, of course, easier than rebuilding refineries after Ukrainian strikes. MUCH EASIER. SOME SAY THE EASIEST. Meanwhile, Russiaโ€™s diesel export ban remains in force until October 31: the fuel is needed domestically, and Ukrainian drones have significantly reduced Russiaโ€™s ability to produce it. A VERY SUCCESSFUL phone call with Trump is unlikely to have fixed those problems. Now for another comparison. Russiaโ€™s average monthly diesel exports last year were 18.3 million barrels. The promised deliveries amount to just 12% and 20% of that volume, respectively. So we have a promise that Russia still needs to find a way to fulfil, given the state of its refineries. And even if delivered, it looks considerably less impressive than the presidential CAPS LOCK. Not quite THE GREATEST DEAL IN HISTORY. The political logic is clear. The war with Iran and high fuel prices are a bad backdrop for the elections. One would hope politically FATAL, at this point. The administration desperately needs a story about how the president is about to FIX EVERYTHING. Preferably IMMEDIATELY. Preferably without explaining how we got here in the first place. So perhaps the main product of this deal is not even diesel. It is another attempt to calm the market with a BIG, BEAUTIFUL ANNOUNCEMENT. Letโ€™s see how much credibility these announcements still have. Russia, of course, will sell this as a HUGE VICTORY. And why wouldnโ€™t it? Promise diesel you still need to find somewhere, get a sanctions waiver UPFRONT. Plus another opportunity to tell the world that it simply CANNOT MANAGE WITHOUT RUSSIA. But what worries me most is that this spectacle could weaken our European partnersโ€™ resolve. Trumpโ€™s latest โ€œbreakthroughโ€ must not become an excuse to ease sanctions pressure on Russia โ€” precisely when that pressure needs to INCREASE. Of course, this decision will benefit Russia by generating additional revenues. Weโ€™ll be watching how much of its export capacity Russia actually manages to restore. One thing is CLEAR: Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries need to INTENSIFY.

Start by renewing contracts with all 5 education unions, whose contracts expired Aug 31. They asked you to begin good-faith bargaining in March, but you dismissed those requests. Demoralizing and disrespecting staff will only further erode #onted. Stop playing political games!
We are always looking at how we can better support our students. At this yearโ€™s 51st Annual IAEA Conference, representatives from 39 countries are sharing best practices to strengthen student assessment. Bringing experts together from around the world is an important opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from one another and strengthen the ways we support student achievement.

Wild. This is not ok.
Ford is defying legal orders from the Information and Privacy Commissioner to release documents related to the "multi-billion dollar government fund that pushed grants to Conservative donors." In other provinces the Commissioner can take the government to court to force it to obey the law, but not in Ontario. Ford changed the law to hide his own phone records and now he's defying the Freedom of Information laws he didn't eliminate. "Itโ€™s a really boldly anti-democratic move." #onpoli ctvnews.ca/toronto/politics/โ€ฆ

He was a white guy from Belleville who had lived in Alberta and drove a pickup with Alberta plates to the synagogue. He was an anti-vaxxer and believed conspiracy theories about Jewish links to COVID-19. There is no indication of any "free palestine" activism from the shooter.
My latest: On the Belleville synagogue shooting in ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ. There is a direct link between the freedom given to the โ€œFree Palestineโ€ activists in ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ to incite hatred and violence targeting Jewsโ€ฆand what happened in Belleville. And this has become the new normal in ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ. Shooting up of Jewish schools, synagoguesโ€ฆ? Pretty regular now. Incitement of hatred targeting Jewish community centres? Businesses? Neighbourhoods? No big deal. Law enforcement and PM @MarkJCarney encourage and embolden Jew hatred by doing nothing to stop it. Belleville was an attack on Jews going to synagogue services. It was not an attack on ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ PS: Bots, anonymous accounts and haters will be blocked. Take your toxicity elsewhere. nationalpost.com/opinion/belโ€ฆ

By the way, Israel is using the same logic Russia is using to claim Ukraine, some bullshit about ancient kingdoms and property rights based on myths. Same shit different asshole.
Netanyahu, who's family originates from Lithuania and Russia, claims the Golan Heights belong to Israel and not Syria, based on the bible . Most historians and archaeologists agree that there is no direct physical or non-biblical historical evidence that Moses was a real person, the Bible was written over the span of 1,500 years and is a collection of differing ancient texts from 3 different continents. Israel is 78 years old.
