New preprint!
How do transcription factors (TFs) use intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) to find their target sites?

How do different sources of variation, acting on distinct timescales, integrate to shape behavioral diversity?
It was a pleasure writing this review with @MeitalOren and Steve Flavell.

We’re thrilled to share our new paper! 🎉
This study reveals how the lncRNA NORAD interacts with STAT3 to regulate the antiviral response.
Congratulations to Amir and the entire team for their incredible work!

Despite the tremendous microscopic complexity (yes even in the worm-I’m looking at you vertebrate and mammalian enthusiasts), we constructed a remarkably effective Markov model dynamics, inspired from ideas in dynamical systems, statistical physics and information theory.
I'm glad to share our latest paper, where we constructed a complete developmental atlas of C. elegans behavior using posture dynamics. We used this dataset to infer stereotyped and individual-unique behavioral spaces, as well as to study their developmental plasticity.

The PVD neuron has male-specific structure and mating function in C. elegans biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Congratulations to Yael Iosilevskii for her story about the highly arborized PVD neuron in males. The PVD is sexually dimorphic and it has a novel function in copulation.

The Schiller lab is hiring PhD and post doc students for an ERC funded research on dendritic and network mechanisms of motor learning using state of the art methods. Atmosphere in the lab is lively and multi-cultural. Come join us.
We're pleased to share a new preprint from the lab!
In this work we introduce and investigate the complete developmental atlas of both stereotyped and individual-unique behavioral spaces.

Great ending to an amazing conference #Worm23 . Best poster award to Smriti!
Thanks @wormsense and Sander van den Heuvel for organizing this wonderful meeting @GeneticsGSA
Congrats Daniel!
Our first neurogenetic study of ants survived peer review and just appeared OA in its final form @CellCellPress @CellPressNews: cell.com/cell/fulltext/S0092…. @teraxurato & team @RockefellerUniv created the first transgenic ants and identified a sensory hub for alarm behavior. 1/8

During a special meeting held on the evening of March 26th, the leaders of Israeli research universities made the following decision: all studies will be suspended in research universities from Monday morning onwards.
Join us in Glasgow for #Worm23! It’s going to be fantastic! Make sure you get your abstracts in by March 8, 2023: bit.ly/worm2023
Congrats Orli and Daniel!
Shazam! Here is the reveal: ant pupae secrete their molting fluid, and larvae and adults consume it. This creates interdependencies across different ant developmental stages. Thanks also to all our collaborators at the various resource centers @RockefellerUniv!

(1/5) My first paper on ants with @DanielKronauer is out! We discovered that ant pupae secrete the molting fluid, and adults and larvae drink it. Young larvae need the fluid for growth and survival, and pupae die if the fluid is not removed. Open access: nature.com/articles/s41586-0…

I'm happy to share a somewhat unpredicted first manuscript out of my lab with you. Browsing the invaluable @Allen Mouse Brain Connectivity Project's images we wondered, "Hey, anyone noticed these black dots in the red channel?"
