credit to red hat: their AI vision this morning was not AI for the sake of AI, but based on a clear Job to Be Done.
we’ll see about the execution, and i have a ton of questions, but the message at least was solid.

Join @realstrech and Rebecca M. Knight in a post-keynote sit down with the head of Red Hat.
“Red Hat is at its best when we’re focused on building blocks. I started Red Hat 18-plus years ago and our building block was #Linux," Hicks says.
It was consumable for enterprises, light on hardware, "worked with the OEMs and put in the hands of developers and people,” Hicks recalls, going on to note the similarities between Red Hat’s early days and the new opportunities presented by #GenAI.
“The machines are a bit different, but it’s the exact same playbook. How do you take all this excitement and innovation, make it consumable to enterprises, then work with both the technology providers like @nvidia and @intel, and the OEMs… that users can start to work with?” Hicks furthers.
“I love every second of it, because it just feels like we’re back to our sweet spot.”

#InstructLab puts LLM development into the hands of the open source community, right where it should be. And who better to contribute than #RHSummit and #AnsibleFest attendees? Check out the @InstructLab Lounge in the expo hall.
