Very happy to have my fourth and final #SLPhd paper published in #AJSLP! Looking at 4 cases of children with phonological impairment & precocious vocabulary, highlighting interesting differences between children with phonological impairment.
New #AJSLP study describes the speech production, speech perception, vocabulary, and word learning abilities of lexically precocious 4-year-old children with phonological impairment.

My apologies to the many people who were unable to download SAILs modules because I did not do my Apple paperwork fast enough (there is always paperwork!) but I think I have clicked the right buttons and all should be well again. apps.apple.com/ca/app/sails/…

Big thank you to @alex_herbay for revamping the software to be compatible with the latest iOS, adding in all the new modules, and reworking the reporting and results function.

We're excited that our Australian English SAILS modules are now available on the SAILS app! A great way to assess the speech perception skills of kids who speak Australian English. @DrEliseBaker @NatalieMunro3
5 phonemes are currently available in the Australian English modules: "ch", "k", "r", "s", "sh". 4 of these phonemes were assessed in our 2018 study published in JCD: sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
Thanks to @ProfRvach and @alex_herbay for giving us the opportunity to share our Australian English modules and for all their work to make it happen.

Our systematic review and meta-analysis looking at speech perception skills of children with speech sound disorders has been published in the October issue of #JSLHR! With @DrEliseBaker @NatalieMunro3
#JSLHR systematic review and meta-analysis investigates #speech perception skills of children with speech sound disorders. Some but not all children with SSDs have difficulties. More research is needed. #slpeeps @DrEliseBaker @stephspeechie @NatalieMunro3 on.asha.org/2mmzfuT
Results from the meta-analysis confirmed that children with speech sound disorders have difficulties with speech perception. However this appears to be the case for some but not all children with speech sound disorders.
