I met a guy last night at a Super Bowl party --- things were going great until he said (proudly) "Yeah, I voted for Biden & Harris! I don't support the US military and Trump & Musk are terrible people -- I'd never buy a Tesla and support them."
Then I said "Ah, that's too bad, I just put money down on a Cybertruck & I got all these tatts while serving active duty."
I then excused myself to go to the restroom & never came back.

Very sorry to hear that Paddy Barclay has passed away. He was a brilliant writer on football, fair, insightful, witty but never snide. He was a good companion in a pressbox, more so if you were travelling on the same train as him after a match. Condolences to his family.
Very to sorry to hear of Frankie Beverly's passing last week. He was one of the most likeable singers on the soul scene backed by his brass-free musicians Maze. His voice was a gentle growl whether on ballads or upbeat dance-floor numbers. Thanks Frankie. youtube.com/watch?v=y4854yQ1β¦

With regard to LFC's second half comeback against Luton last night has any journo, sub-editor or fan ever used the term 'Jurgenaut'?

Today in 1961, The Beatles played their first gig at The Cavern Club in Liverpool.
Braverman achieves her equivalent of Trump summoning the Proud Boys. She should be sacked first, then arrested for inciting this right-wing violence against the police force she disparaged.

Happy Birthday NHS born three years before me. Thank you for the polio jab; cod liver-oil; taking half a pane of glass from my head when I was four; the nit-nurse; vaccinations against diptheria, pneumonia, Covid 19; bowel cancer tests; curing my asthma. Thank you for my life.
I have a memory of footage featuring a Test Match in Australia in the 1960s in which an English player, Fred Titmus collided with a fielder and fell chasing a run. Wicketkeeper Wally Grout faked taking the bails off before tossing the ball away in a huge sporting gesture.
