ALT It is with profound sadness that the Royal Air Force Air Cadets mourn the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Since our founding days in 1941, Her Majesty has been a beacon of inspiration for all Air Cadets, and there will be many members of our Air Cadet family who will have been intensely honoured to have met Her Majesty The Queen and will never fail to recall their cherished memories. Every current and former member of the Air Cadets will hold immense admiration, deep affection, and a strong sense of privilege in their service and commitment to her. The Queen’s unwavering support to the youth of the Nation and her steadfast commitment to public service has for over seven decades inspired every member of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets to pursue an ethos of ‘Service before Self’. On behalf of everyone in the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, our young people, adult volunteers, staff and their families, I offer our earnest respect and heartfelt condolences to His Majesty the King.
