MP & farmer, Mark Spencer, was Liz Truss's parliamentary private secretary when Truss relaxed the badger cull licensing rules, which led to the rapid extension of the culls & >175,000 dead #badgers.
Poor choice by @RishiSunak.
The badger culls are widely & strenuously opposed.

🦊Behind the scenes on the Hilborough Estate.
These are the images the Van Cutsems and royals won't want the world to see: the reality of wildlife persecution on shooting estates. Foxes strung up in trees as snare bait. Snares set in the territory of brown hares and deer.

West Sussex eagle poisoned with bendiocarb, by @charliemoores offtheleash.substack.com/p/w… I'm sick to death of this not being taken seriously as a crime. Such dedication goes into the reintroduction programme for these awesome birds just for some bastard to intentionally kill them.

Dirty DAERA in Northern Ireland want to use wire snares to trap badgers in NI this year. These can cut into the skin, stress, maim and kill badgers. What kind of people would push for such a sick act?

The farming press has been very negative about vaccination, pushing a hard line which emphasises the benefits of culling while minimising the downsides, saying nothing about vaccination (or dismissing it)

It’s not comfortable to watch but it’s vital we open our eyes. If we never look, we will never know and nothing will ever change. And it has to change.
This horrific cruelty needs to be shared. How these people sleep at night, I’ll never know. #BBCPanorama @animal_equality
Being shown on #BBCPanorama tonight, our undercover investigator filmed this horrific violence to cows on a dairy farm in South Wales ⬇️
