Happy 40th anniversary to the funkiest album in the @ChiliPeppers arsenal: Freaky Styley. My copy here, signed by producer @george_clinton! Aaaand… Happy 36th to the album that proved my entry point into the band: Mother’s Milk. My copy here, signed by Flea, Chad & Anthony! 🥳

Following the success of the Suck My Cloth competition when we gave away a podcast table cloth, the next episode features the new competition in which we give away a small drawer / cupboard door knob. Not sure what to call this competition but stay tuned for a chance to win…

We are recording at the weekend and we’ll be asking: What’s the best four song run from any of the albums that’s contained on one album? We’ll also probably get to what’s the best four song run that straddles albums as well. What do you guys think?

What I’ve always really liked is how much of the band’s own handwriting features across releases - I don’t think I’m alone with this. AK’s is obviously the better known but Flea and John have contributed too, and this extends over to John’s solo work. It’s all about authenticity
