Fangirling over @sstrong57 irl - I always use #dearmath prompts with students + recommend them as one of the best ways to uncover the math trauma in our classrooms! #cmcmath
My students and I are so grateful for the opportunity to share math stories with our friends @MindShiftKQED, supported by brilliant math thinkers @amynoelleparks and @mathematize4all!!! Give it a listen!

Good or bad, everyone has a math story. In @sstrong57's classroom, listening to those stories is central to helping kids learn and grow. Listen to S8 Ep6 of the MindShift podcast with @KaraNewhouse @mathematize4all out now 👇

Whenever I feel lost in the world, the classroom is my compass. It’s a space that always returns me to purpose and possibility. Had such a soul stirring time with the babies at PS 211 in #TheBronx today. My team and I are building them the most incredible classroom and their joy makes my heart full #ColliderClassroom #HipHopEd #TheBronx #TheWork
Beautiful work @hightechhigh for senior exhibition last night! Lucera and Jelena supported the HS artists in creating true masterpieces. Stunning #pbl. – at San Diego, CA
My 13yo is making a case for seeing an R rated movie on the basis that she “hears more swear words every day at school than are in the whole movie”. Tomorrow she will begin a #mathmodeling exploration to attempt to prove her case. Will keep you posted… #tmwyk – at San Diego, CA

This was SUCH a fun event for teachers, friends of teachers, and families…and an excellent model for events that we might host in our schools for families to help rewrite stories of what math is! Thank you @GSDMC1 team for the thoughtful planning! – at San Diego, CA

Thanks to @RossBRomano for this wonderful interview. My co-author and student Gigi is particularly provocative in this one as she discusses #dearmath. I continue to learn from her every time she shares more of her journey as a mathematician. Give it a listen! #iteachmath – at San Diego, CA

Exhibition is THE MOST JOYFUL way to end a semester. I’m so proud to be a part of the @hightechhigh community where, instead of tons of final exams, we showcase the amazing work of or students and teachers to parents and community members before heading off to winter break. – at San Diego, CA
