We are proud of you! #sdwla @actfl
We are excited to have 10 states represented in this year's CSCTFL Teacher of the Year selection process. We would like to take a moment each Tuesday to individually recognize and celebrate each state's Teacher of the Year. This week, we celebrate Britt Samson from South Dakota!
1. TEACHERS created the benchmarks. WE developed the expectations. 2. We only assess what's learned, & standards have always evolved. Stop freaking out over a generation of kids who are 'behind'. They already know more than you did. Mental health > idealistic academics.

I hope state legislatures and governors pay attention to this. Educators did something these last 9 weeks that they have never been trained to do. They didn’t receive any extra money to host zoom sessions at 7pm at night. @govkristinoem @realDonaldTrump @BetsyDeVosED #sdedchat
You can't fail at learning a language. The number of words you need to know to get to your goal is not infinite, so the only way you can really fail is by giving up. You'll get there! Just make sure that you know today something more than you did yesterday.
This is fantastic!!

So many good ideas and support for each other to provide distance learning. But, the inequities in schools and homes that will be magnified as we move learning online keep nagging at me. How are we addressing these?
