Pretty damn cool story at todays Monday Q for Bermuda (played ahead of time so players can arrange travel).
Austin Lemieux, son of the legendary Mario Lemieux just shot 66 and qualified for his first ever PGA Tour event.
The 30 year old is still an amateur and will be playing in his first ever PGA Tour event. He played hockey at Arizona State before pursuing a career in golf.
Austin has won many amateur events and wins often on the Minor League Tour in Florida. In fact last week shot 65-65 and won on the 3rd playoff hole on that tour. The field of pros he beat included Parker Coody, Bo Hoag, and Gavin Hall, among others.
He's legit and adds a pretty cool story line to the field.

-Takes a specific route walking into the arena, where he won't pass the visitors lockerroom 🚫
-Once he tapes his stick, he sits by it in his stall and nobody else can touch it 🏒
-5pm PB&J sandwich 🥜
-Soccer kickaround with team. Warms up and stretches first, and he can't touch the ball before he starts playing in the game. ⚽
-Puts on his lucky jock strap/cup. The same one he wore since he was a teenager 🤯
-Handshake and walks out of the lockerroom, second to last, last being Malkin. Three years Super League 🇷🇺.

On game-days, Sidney Crosby refuses to talk, acknowledge or interact with his own mother and sister 🤯 😂
In juniors, right before a game he spoke with sister and separated his shoulder. In a game before he broke his foot, he had a phone conversation with his mom. 📱
In Pittsburgh, his first major high-ankle sprain injury was because he spoke with sister directly before the game 🗣️
He accidentally saw his sister in passing before the Capitals Winter Classic game, and ultimately ended up with the worst concussion of his career 🧠
Now a days, if the family is in town to watch they will not come out of their hotel room until close to the game time, just in case 😉 😂

Sidney Crosby was just trying to enjoy lunch during a vacation in the Bahamas when a 10-year-old Penguins fan spotted him nearby.
After working up the courage to ask for a photo, she got much more than she expected.
Crosby posed with her, walked over to speak with the rest of the family, talked hockey and stayed for a few more pictures.
Then came the part they did not see coming.
When the family asked for their bill, they learned Crosby had already paid for their entire lunch. He also left the young fan an autograph and a handwritten note.
No cameras. No announcement. Just a quiet gesture from one of hockey’s biggest stars.
Sidney Crosby has built a legendary career through what he does on the ice, but moments like this explain why he is respected just as much away from it.

This is the penalty for improving the lie that needs to be given out by both the R&A and USGA. Way too many PGA Tour pros do this where they ground the club 73+ times and by the time they hit it the lie looks nothing like it did when the ball was originally addressed.
