Which part? The process is filming, hashing pixels, and combining with other entropy sources. The downstream process is less interesting, and less impactful, than actually having a wall of lava lamps available for randomness.

I'm really interested in the infrastructure cost differences of on-site "small" nuclear for some of these proposed data centers that might be in very rural areas. Seems like high-voltage transmission must be expensive.

Do you live in a contested area? I am so damn tired of getting asked to answer poll questions. It's worse than roofing companies after a hail storm.
People who run well-trusted paths in well-trusted code don't need to be cryptographers though. Someone reinvented the wheel in a totally convoluted and unnecessary way to cause this, which is a very Indian business way to operate.

I'll be cruel to their creators instead.
@AnthropicAI, as a paying user who sometimes gets good results from your systems and often doesn't, you need to grow up and realize how often your non-sentient, non-aware bag of matrix math ruins your customers' day. Humility, now!
Does this mean @theallinpod needs to stop using Claude? Asking for a friend.

Yes, my last PR to OSS for a correctness bug was heavily adapted after submission. The correctness bug is what all of us wanted fixed, so everyone won.
Replying to @epyoncf @SebAaltonen
Yes, it is. And open source projects often shoot themselves in the foot by not taking the substance of the submission and re-working it into something that significantly improves their project. They try to puppet-master every change until it's either perfect or submitter drops.
PQ are all newer algorithms, but might still need to be updated to account for latest math knowledge. Nothing is guaranteed.

That's a bold assumption, made under our current maths models, and certainly hopium,
It's like saying if aliens come to Earth don't worry they are friendly,
Should we take the alien risk seriously? No
But if they come, will they be friendly? No
Should we prepare bunkers for aliens? No
Same thing
This latest fear of LLMs hacking hash algorithms is fascinating to me. I was part of a collective doing distributed computing challenges to find hash collisions by brute force in the late 1990s. Any valid math attacks to reduce compute space significantly would be destructive.

Nice. I missed that. It's an uphill battle launching a chain, but I'm always curious what people are trying to do. Best of luck. Will take a look.
