Maya+Rett: The full exome genetic test results came back in late Aug. The geneticists & neurologist conference called us to give us the news. Rett Syndrome is a fluke mutation & is generally non-inherited. The chances are ~1/12,000. Help find a cure: rettgive.org/campaigns/rever…
For many months we were faced with the unknown. Was it Maya's complicated labor/delivery that caused these issues? Did we feed her the wrong foods/formula? Was it brain damage? Ever since her birth Alex, especially, knew something was different.... call it Mum's intuition.
Maya+Rett story: The EEG results came in & the neurologist told us that it was highly abnormal and suggestive of epilepsy. We don’t know when they will start “in full”, but we suspect we have seen her have some ‘smaller’ episodes already. Help find a cure: rettgive.org/campaigns/rever…
