Eco friendly be damned. These white shelled eggs supermarkets now insist on selling because they’re “better for the environment” are rubbish. Impossible to break the shells without breaking the yolk. Ruin fried eggs every time. Which I suspect the government loves, given its banning fried eggs from school food for reasons that make no sense.

I agree. I think AI companies should be held to the same standard as other companies: if one of your employees hacks a company, you're liable. All we have here is the classic Computer Science solution of introducing an extra level of indirection. An employee set that model going.

Bet Mr Burnham and Mr Trump never discussed this: the polls are increasingly dire for Republicans in the mid-term elections. Cost of living is THE issue. So many Republicans are calling more loudly for a ban on US diesel exports. Diesel is the fuel of US farming and trucking. The US is the world’s biggest diesel exporter (1.5m b/d). The argument is that an export ban would reduce domestic prices. It would also tilt Europe (including Britain) into recession. That might not worry Mr T, who has indicated in might jump on this particular bandwagon.
