1 year ago, I wanted to play GeoGuessr. But it was behind a paywall, and I was too cheap to pay. So I thought, screw it. I'll make my own. Today, GeoDuels has 23k players, hundreds of maps, and even tournaments. And it's still 100% free. Here's how it all happened 🧵

Or could I? Browsers don't let you hide Google's stuff, but extensions do. So I literally made an extension with one job: hide street names. And added two ranked modes: - Moving with street names (for everyone) - No Move without street names (with the extension) ez $$$ saved

Apple has implemented server-side changes that include SEP-based device attestation, which basically means that PancakeStore will not work ever again unless someone figures out an alternative downgrade route (unlikely). Apologies, but consider the tool EoL for the time being.
