Thousands of people in Colombia were deeply affected by the recent earthquake, including my family and friends. The situation is devastating, but we’re all coming together to help rebuild after the tragedy. If you’d like to donate to the Colombian Red Cross, here’s the official link.
I'm from Colombia 🇨🇴 It was hit by a heavy earthquake these past days. The damage is overwhelming, the loss unmeasurable. Many places I remember are now destroyed. Wishing strength for those who lost, and those helping others. Can you donate too? ⛑️ ayuda.cruzrojacolombiana.org…

Feeling very lucky to have been part of this 🤍 LATAM has sooo much talent, and these past few weeks made me appreciate even more how important it is to create spaces where we can meet, share and build together. Huge thanks to @benkimbuilds for making it happen.
7 weeks ago I launched La Residencia, a first of it's kind, #aibuildersmx residency in Mexico City. From 300 applicants I championed 10 builders. I selected each person because something resonated - potential, passion, spirit, curiosity, hunger, and grace. Someone who wasn't given their shot. A builder inexperienced and raw but hungry to learn. An entrepreneur without a community. La Residencia was a collective community experiment to test the limits of communal learning, growth, experimentation, entrepreneurship, failure, and success - in what is to be considered the lonely experience of entrepreneurship. What was transformative and perspective changing is and always will be the people. We created something powerful and magical out of nothing. We willed together a feeling indescribable and gave endlessly to each other. As a collective we built 10+ products, pivoted 4 times, and monetized 4 businesses. Personally, the last 7 weeks have been a huge test of my will and spirit. 4 countries traveled, 6 cities, 14 hour days, 6 products launched / 2 monetized, 2 work teams built, and thousands of slack messages sent - all while managing main job commitments and leading the residency and being a participant of it. I gave it my all and then some. I learned and failed a lot. This kind of project has never been done this way in Mexico. It's what made it worth trying. The feedback I received from my network, friends, and local mentors was validation enough that what we were doing was culturally unique and radical in this market. I hope this inspires others to follow suit in their own ways. This has been my most important tech community project. It's hard to express this in words, right now I can only feel the emptiness that it's over and the gratitude that it happened. Lastly, thank you to our residents for contributing to this program, your trust in me, and for giving it your all. To our residents, what did you think? @BerCam__ @sofiasofian @mitzi_yz @Alenugz @luiciernaga_ @_is_isaac @aehbonilla @corleone_gmi @oveddan

One of my favorite parts of building Flair is testing new models for virtual try-ons. The test i did today was incredible: the garments, the textures, the way the fabrics move, everything feels soooo natural 🤌🏻 This is truly what the future of shopping looks like The tool is Anywear, powered by @DecartAI
anywear.decart.ai/ The top is rick owens 🖤🖤🖤

Building Flair - Day 12 🎥 My co-founder Lucia was on Univision today 🔥 She’s a celebrity fashion stylist and an Emmy Award winner !!!!! A big part of what we’re building with Flair is turning all her styling knowledge and experience into something anyone can access. Here’s a short clip from her tv appearance today on Univision’s “Despierta América” show. I really wish she could’ve said Flair was out BUT THE APP IS STILL IN REVIEW 💀

Building Flair - Day 11 🍂 Still waiting for the app store reviewww, but meanwhile: I’ve been planning content for Flair’s social media and researching which ugc videos to start with. I thought scrolling through tiktok all day was gonna be fun but i’m tired af 😭 Aaand also, there’s a new feature, you can now ask Flair to style a specific item from your closet, and it’ll build looks using pieces you already own or items from stores

Building Flair - Day 10 🦋 Today i’m testing more image generation models for Flair’s virtual try-ons. I’ve been trying @reve and i’m loving the results so far. It renders the garments EXACTLY as they are, i purposely tested pieces with different textures and i’m amazed by how well it handles fur, leather and feathers. The patterns and prints are also on point, even if they include lettering 🤌🏻 here are some examples with designer clothes

Building Flair - Day 9 🐢 Last night i sent a support ticket to apple asking them to unblock the status of the Flair Pro subscription, which was stuck “in review” (i needed them to reject it). I read that it was something they could fix in a couple of hours, buuuut oc that was not the case. I waited for a response all day until i was super stressed, and then it occurred to me that i could simply make a new submission by creating a new subscription group with a new subscription (yes, i felt dumb for not thinking of it earlier). This time, i really didn’t want to deal with the RevenueCat configuration again, so i installed their skills, and they worked pretty well. I just submitted the app again with the new subscription and subscription group. I ran asccli around 80000 times to make sure it didn’t find anything off, so i hope it gets approved this time 🫡 Meanwhile, i started planning content for Flair’s social media and already made a cool video to post at launch 🧚‍♀️ i’m still having trouble verifying the tiktok account, though. They keep denying the application even though i’m uploading the correct legal docsss 😵‍💫

Building Flair - Day 8 🍏 Today i received my second app store rejection (which came surprisingly FAST) apple flagged two things: 1. my privacy policy talked about “user pictures”, but it didn’t explicitly mention “face pictures” 2. they said i was missing a consent screen before sharing user content with AI providers. This one confused me because i already had that screen, but i got some great insights from people on X (thank youuu 🫶) i realized: - my consent screen only mentioned google’s gemini but i also use fal.ai, which conflicted with the privacy policy - my PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy file was very incomplete - i wasn’t offering a way for users to revoke their consent i fixed everything and then used asccli.sh to doublecheck before resubmitting and it found ANOTHER issue 👁️👄👁️ i had submitted the app and the Flair Pro subscription separately, but apple requires the first subscription to be submitted with the app, so i canceled the submission to send them together, only to discover that canceling the app submission does NOT cancel the subscription review, i now need to wait for apple to reject the subscription in order to do a new submission 🧍‍♀️ ANYWAYS, while waiting i redesigned the consent screen because the previous one was giving me major vibe-coded ick, here it is 👇

HELP I got rejected from the app store againnn 😭 one of the issues says: "The app appears to share the user’s personal data with a third-party AI service but the app does not clearly explain what data is sent, identify who the data is sent to, and ask the user’s permission before sharing the data." but i already added this consent screen. wdyt? is it not clear enough? if anyone has examples of consent screens that got approved, I'd love to see them 🙏

Building Flair - Day 7 📵 Today i experienced my first app store rejection 🥀 here’s what i missed, so hopefully it doesn’t happen to you: 1. didn’t include a “terms of use” link in the app store metadata. It HAS to be added to the app store description 2. wasn’t asking for explicit consent before sending user generated content (like photos, messages) to third-party AI providers. Apple requires you to explain what data is sent, who receives it, and get consent before sending anything 3. apple also asked for more details about how Flair handles selfies. If your app collects selfies, explain the full face-data flow in your app review notes (even if it’s already covered in your privacy policy). Include what you collect, why you use it, where it’s stored, who receives it, and for how long you keep it after fixing and resubmitting , i also enabled a new store to Flair: Fashion Nova, so users can find more options for lower budgets. While testing it, i realized the budget filter wasn’t working at all 💀 so i fixed that too, here’s Flair actually finding me an outfit under $80
