"why should American taxpayers pay for your student loans"
because I had to take out loans to get a degree to teach your 12-year-old child how to read multisyllabic words
“why should American taxpayers pay for your student loans”
idk, because maybe I’m paying your social security even though I won’t be getting any when I finally retire? Maybe because the federal government peddled predatory loans to 18 years olds? Maybe because Trump stealing?

This would be a good moment for Democrats to say something like "we won't let this happen."
The Trump admin is moving forward on plans to impose financial penalties on Americans in default on their federal student loans and hire private debt collectors to go after them.
The plans are unlikely to be announced until after the midterms. washingtonsun.com/economy/tr…

this entire Jalen situation is much bigger than just a QB dealing with an injury, it’s about the utter neglect and mistreatment of black people when it comes to medical care.

we were protesting like the French in Ferguson when Mike Brown was killed and the US brought out tanks and flash grenades…. a lot of Gen Z won’t remember because they were still in elementary school.

cell phones aren’t druglike, they’re carlike. even if you consciously want to opt out, you can’t, because everyone expects you to have and use one to interact with society. i cannot even use the laundry machines in my building without being forced to use the laundry app.
Cell phone addiction is an absolute thermonuke to the brain and nobody 'takes it seriously' because it is not clear that there is any solution in a world where the revealed preference of everyone across the globe, regardless of income, race, age, any factor whatsoever, would rather be on their phone than do *anything* else. Deciding "I use this too much" and meaningfully altering one's behaviour doesn't seem to have much success for any of the very small minority of people with the sentience or self-reflection to realize how bad it is. Most people seem to think of it as an unproductive habit at most, rather than an addiction. Any attempt to speak seriously about this is met with derision, accusations of pretentiousness. There is no real solution to it. The future of human cognition fifty years down the line is horrifying if you stop and think about it for even a moment.

White people got the new deal from Roosevelt. FHA subsidized the white middle class, GI bill subsidized housing/college, and easy consumer credit from federal reserve subsidized banks.
But the answer for black people is to get married and create industry with no capital..

Black millennials are the prime working adult population in the community and only 2% of us make $100,000+.
There are about 9 million working Black millennials, so this means that less 200,000 of us in the entire country are six-figure earners.
Add fractured households to that
The median net worth of Black American households declined by 25 percent from 2022 to 2025, according to newly released Federal Reserve data cepr.net/publications/black-…

Ladies, we will not be threatened with workplace violence, nor will we allow our fellow sisters to fall victim to it.
I urge you all to stand in solidarity with Carrie Ann & vocalize your intolerance to ABC of this behavior from Val/Jenna.
