What to do when a position goes OOR? Don't panic. (WAIT, CLOSE, REPOSITION)
One thing I've learned from LPing on Meteora DLMM: when your position goes OOR, you need presence of mind.
Don't rush to click anything. Take a breath, assess the situation, and decide your next move.
The best way to handle OOR is to have a proper setup from the beginning: a well-planned range, a strategy that fits the market, and risk you're willing to take.
But let's be real. Any token can dump hard, and no setup is immune to it.
When that happens, the question isn't just how to get back in range. It's whether you should WAIT, CLOSE, or REPOSITION.
Here are 3 real examples of my positions going OOR on the downside and how I handled each situation.

Out of range at the bottom? Don't close at a loss just yet.
Sometimes, my range is not wide enough for the retracement. Most people would panic-sell or close at a loss. Instead, I flipped my Bid-Ask.
Result? Turned a losing position into +4.21% PnL.

How to execute a Bid-Ask flip:
Without closing your position:
1️⃣ Withdraw 100% of your tokens (Keep the position open).
2️⃣ Quickly re-deposit all tokens using the Bid-Ask strategy.
3️⃣ Wait for the bounce and find an exit.
Simple and easy.
For the exit of this position, I waited for price to hit the upper Bollinger Band on the 5m timeframe before closing. Luckily, I ended up securing a win instead of a loss or a breakeven.
Next time your SOL-sided Bid-Ask position goes out of range and you still believe that the price can go back in range:
1️⃣ Stay calm
2️⃣ Flip to token-side bidask
3️⃣ Ride the bounce back into profit

Nothing has changed, we are still at the beginning of a new bull market for crypto and I am all in SOL. Just using Meteora to earn and lose my SOL, hopefully earning more while we wait for the big bull market pumps to happen.

When you first start, it’s easy to feel instantly profitable. But then the market tests you:

WIDE IS NOT EASY MODE 🏴☠️
Had a good debate with some sharp LPs this week. The advice on the table: struggling with token picks? Go very wide. -90%, -95%. Give yourself a cushion.
My take: in this market, a -95% range isn't a cushion. It's a timer ⏳
So I pulled every SOL-side position closed in September by 4,600+ LP wallets. 926K positions.
Here's what they say 👇
📏 Same range, different clock
Ranges -90% or deeper:
→ Closed within 2h: 0.3% lost 20%+
→ Held over a day: 7.8% lost 20%+
→ Held over a day: 3.6% lost half or more
Wide + quick: the safest combo of the month.
Wide + patient: the worst range to sit in.
🌊 No play works forever
Very wide, held over a day:
→ Sept 1-15: 81% green, +3.5% on average
→ Sept 16-30: 68% green, -1.5% on average
Same play. Two weeks apart. Opposite result.
When the market is euphoric, a deep range gets rescued by a revival every couple of days. In a slow-bleed rug meta, it just gets drained.
🎯 Calibration > width
Best point of the debate: it's not wide vs tight. It's matching the range to the target.
Wide aiming for 1%? You're out fast.
Wide aiming for 15%? You just signed up for days inside that token.
And the hardest part of LPing, by far: the exit.
Cutting at -15% hurts. Waiting for a bounce that never comes and eating -50% hurts more.
🧭 My own logbook since Sept 1
→ 450 positions
→ Median time in a position: 4.5 minutes
→ 94% closed within 2 hours
→ 74% green
My gameplan until the sea changes again:
→ Follow the volume
→ Hours, not days
→ Size for this market, not the last one
→ Take the clean exit, green or red
When the euphoria comes back, deep patient ranges will print again. I'll switch back. Stay fluid.

I really love new coins that go parabolic and then retrace back to the 0.618 Fib level. Fib enjoyer, always. 📐
Had multiple deployments on this coin, but this was basically the progression:
1. Limit Order placed at the 0.618 level, then TP at 0.382.
2. Curve play on the bounce.
3. Two-sided Spot play within the parallel channel.
4. Curve play again near the upper part of the channel.
5. One-sided SOL play up to the the lower part of the channel.
6. Limit Order again near the lower part of the channel.
LMAO. This is like how i lp these days. Maximum extraction in runners. Multiple strategies depending on the price action.
