Utah, it's a hard NO on amendment B. The only people who would benefit from that amendment are a few legislators. This is a nonpartisan issue.
Replying to @EliMcCann
Oh boy can’t wait to vote NO against YET ANOTHER attempted power grab by the legislature

Republicans have controlled every lever of power since at least the 90s in Utah.
A newly released quality-of-life survey recorded its lowest score since the study began 15 years ago, marking a "decade of decline" for the Beehive State.

Its truly insane how badly this story keeps getting handled where ABC Utah doesn’t even reach out for a comment to the queer Utah Democratic candidate but is willing to help paint the straight Republican as a victim
Equality Utah is getting some pushback from local Democratic officials after it decided to endorse Republican candidates in a few races over openly LGBTQ candidates.
The endorsement that is getting the most attention is Equality Utah's decision to endorse Republican Mike Bird for the Salt Lake County Council District 3 seat over Luke Maynes, who is a Democrat and a member of the LGBTQ community.

What's my main political issue?
I'm glad you asked.
It's men playing in a women's pro basketball league.
Are there any men playing women's basketball in the pros or for a major college you ask?
No.
Do I watch women's basketball?
Also no.
But, what if?
The conservative paradox...Won’t watch the WNBA because of trans players (there are none) and allowing them yet actively cheering for a “trans” player in Kanter to play so they can then watch it?

In the span of a week, wnba players have faced harassment twice mid game in which both circumstances were done by cis men but im told trans women are a threat to the league?
A Republican leader take personal responsibility for their failures….I can’t wait to see it happen but guess I’ll have to continue to wait.
After losing his primary, Senate President Stuart Adams is threatening to sue four critics, including the state auditor, for statements Adams says were defamatory. “Correct the record,” Adams demands.

The state literally took over homeless policy over the last decade in Salt Lake.
But sure. The liberals did it.

If you're wondering why TRANS ATHLETES are suddenly a thing again, Republicans very successfully fear mongered this marginalized group in 2024 & since the economy is dog shit, inflation is going up, gas prices are insane, and Trump lost his war with Iran, this is all they've got

Biggest issue: If you're being drafted, people are saying "we want you around for 4 years" & I can't imagine anybody wants Enes Kanter or Royce White around them for even 4 minutes.
We've seen this illustrated whenever Enes is near Turkey or Royce comes close to logic/reality.

It’s so weird that conservatives constantly say they’re concerned about men disingenuously pretending to be trans so they can infiltrate women’s sports, but that’s not really a thing, so the only time it ever actually happens is when they do it themselves
After careful consideration and reviewing the current eligibility guidelines,
I’m officially declaring myself a @WNBA prospect.
If simply declaring who you are is all that’s required, then I meet every single requirement necessary to compete in the WNBA.
My team and I have carefully examined the WNBA’s eligibility criteria and governing framework surrounding self-identification and inclusion. Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in April 2027.
I know my presence on the court will stir up strong opinions.
I am definitely not here to mock, make fun of, or disrespect any community or personal choices.
I’m simply asking that the current rules be applied equally to everyone — the rules that represent the very values many WNBA players and coaches have publicly advocated for.
My team and I are prepared to ensure these guidelines are applied equally, consistently, and without exception, and I look forward to the #WNBA honoring its stated principles.
See you at training camp.
