I’m watching Raptors vs Bulls on League Pass and Kawhi’s hair is throwing me off

Something seemingly lost from yesterday is that Detroit is still really good. Everyone assumed they’d have a huge regression this season, and maybe they will, but the team I saw yesterday looked closer to the 60-win 1 seed than whatever they’ve been predicted to do this season

I’m genuinely curious - has there been any talking head clips about the guy anointed as the next best player in the league who had a rough Finals, came into this season with the MOST to prove, was the pre-season MVP favorite on the trendy championship pick, and SHOT 1/13?

Objectively speaking, that’s a much bigger story that whatever Tatum did yesterday

This was his first chance to make up for his 2026 Finals failure. Just because I remember it well (and was at the game) here’s what Jayson Tatum did in the 2022 season opener - i.e. his first game after failing in the 2022 Finals

Knicks and Spurs should have traded Brunson and Wemby this offseason

For what it’s worth, of those four seasons where they started on the road and ultimately had a good year, they lost that first game on the road three times. And two of those times they lost their next game too to go down 0-2
Seasons the Celtics started on the road since 2017: 2017-18 (made ECF) 2019-20 (made ECF) 2021-22 (made Finals) 2023-24 (won title) Seasons they started at home: 2018-19 (lost rd 2) 2020-21 (lost rd 1) 2022-23 (embarrassed by 8 seed) 2024-25 (lost rd 2) 2025-26 (lost rd 1) 🤷‍♂️

I don’t want to undermine the many legitimate criticisms from the game, but spare me the ‘this is what Tatum looks like without Brown on the floor with him’ takes. Some of the best games of his career came in games where Brown didn’t play. I have concerns. That’s not one of them

The lack of any impact from Mitchell Robinson today was particularly distressing.
