💰 𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐁 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓: 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝟑𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 The Board of Scunthorpe United confirms that it will submit its financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2025 tomorrow. The accounts show a reported loss of approximately £738,000 for the year (2024: approximately £674,000). While the headline result appears slightly worse year-on-year, the Board wishes to highlight an exceptional factor that materially affects comparability between the two periods: the 2024 reported loss was significantly supported by non-recurring donations. Adjusting for those donations, the underlying loss position in 2024 was closer to £1 million. The 2025 result also reflects legacy contracts and cost commitments honoured from the prior ownership period, which have continued to create cost drag during the transition. The Board are encouraged by the progress made during the current financial year. The current outlook indicates a projected loss for the year ending 30 June 2026 of approximately £400,000, representing a further meaningful reduction in the annual loss position and continued improvement in the Club’s underlying trading trajectory. This figure excludes the impact of a play-off run, which would materially improve the figure detailed. The Board also wishes to confirm it will be holding an Annual General Meeting in April 2026. This will provide an open forum for shareholders to put questions directly to the Board, as well as to our Accountant Mark Jackson‑Stapleton and Andy Butler.
