ERC-8128: Signed HTTP Requests with Ethereum.
A signature-based authentication standard that cryptographically binds identity and intent to every request.
The missing primitive to securely verify humans, machines, and AI agents on the web, built on Ethereum.
When we say we’re bringing commerce onchain, we mean it.
> A world computer should also be the main owner of its state. [...] Composability is the superpower of blockchains
Exactly. Verifiable offchain computation is what lets Ethereum scale. Onchain state is what makes it composable. Ethereum's endgame is to hold the world's state.
Slice applies this thesis to commerce, and doing it properly meant rebuilding commerce from scratch. I'll be going deep on this soon, but in a nutshell, when state moves onchain:
- New primitives become possible, enabling more powerful, automated processes — on Slice we call this "smart commerce".
- Many problems typical of web2 disappear.
- New problems appear.
DeFi showed what happens when one domain's state moves onchain. We're doing the same for commerce, and I expect the pattern to repeat across most domains over time.
I believe one of Ethereum's main challenges is resolving the tension between privacy and composability. Ethereum wins when developers and users can decide what is private, shared or public, and everything stays composable. That's why I'm so excited about obfuscation.
Most of the building blocks are in place, and the design space in commerce is immense. Truly grateful to everyone who has contributed and keeps contributing to Ethereum for making possible a future worth building toward.

commerce needs a neutral, global settlement layer.
commerce needs ethereum.
Amazon, like any centralized platform, can never be neutral infrastructure for global, agentic commerce.
Just as finance is moving to Ethereum, commerce will too for the same reasons.
Slice was built for that world: commerce as an open protocol, where anyone can transact without asking permission.

ERC-8128 status update: ready for review
feedback welcome here or on github github.com/ethereum/ERCs/pul…
No one should have to hand over their passport just to be able to pay.
You’ll never have to KYC to buy on Slice.
‼️ BREAKING: Revolut handed over customers’ passport copies, verification selfies and full transaction histories to a malicious actor.
The actor sent lawful government information-demand emails using a genuine government domain that passed domain authentication.
Revolut later concluded they were not authentic.
Affected customers were notified on Friday. What may have been disclosed ranges from name, date of birth and home address to account statements, withdrawal records and complete Bitcoin transaction history.
The company says it has alerted the agency to the unauthorised mailbox on its domain, blocked the address and begun notifying regulators.
It has not named the agency, explained how someone obtained a mailbox there, or given a number of affected customers.
ZachXBT, who circulated the notices, believes the incident was limited in size and aimed at high-net-worth users.

wow, zuck is entering the agentic commerce arena and looks like he’s been taking notes from @slice__so
Zuck basically laying out the thesis for Muse’s long-term strategy right here. Eventually a tax on commerce. $META
👀
x402 is good step forward, but if you’re interested in what next-gen commerce and auth look like, keep an eye on @slice__so

commerce needs new rails and primitives if we want agentic commerce to reach its full potential without becoming a security nightmare.
good news is we’re building them at @slice__so, and we're almost done.

We don’t say this lightly.
Slice enables an entirely new class of commerce products. We’re still uncovering its potential as we build on it.
Our upcoming product will make that much clearer. Others will follow.
Get in early. The market will reward you.
Listing your products on Slice today is the biggest opportunity since AI.
Do with that what you will.

The deaths are greatly exaggerated, but I also think this is directionally correct about the UX endgame.
Wallets aren’t going anywhere anytime soon -- if anything, wallets like @ambire will become more important as adoption and demand for self-custody grow. But there’s clearly a need for a new class of wallets that are app-native, portable, and invisible to the user.
We’re taking a similar path at @slice__so (see below), while making an even bigger bet: that this model can change not just how we use crypto, but how we interact with the rest of the internet.
You might want to keep an eye on what we ship next.
For crypto founders, the biggest lesson from @fomo and @Pumpfun ascendance is that the distribution model of the last 5 years for apps is moot.
Web3 is dead, wallet connect is dead, dApps are dead.
The new plan is vertically integrated mobile: hide the crypto mechanics entirely. Single balance across chains, integrated onramp (Apple Pay is king), no bridges, no seed phrases or private keys (sign in with Google or X).
For wallet apps themselves, this presents an existential crisis. The user demands simplicity & the feeling of safety. In the past, your wallet was a gateway to crypto. Now, I hold a deposit in each app I use and I don't yet care if they talk to each other.
As always, we go through bundling and unbundling cycles. If Phantom and Jupiter and Metamask were bundling, we are now seeing a great unbundling.
👀 you probably don't want to miss what we ship next
those following @slice__so might have noticed that we're converging on a similar path, just more ambitious, more secure, and with even better ux
Commerce is entering a new era.
The rules are being rewritten from the ground up, and merchants will be the undisputed winners.
Ethereum, and specifically @slice__so, solve the primary cause behind payment fraud.
One of the biggest hidden costs afflicting every merchant and service provider in the world is about to disappear.

Ethereum accounts should do more than hold assets. They should let you authenticate, authorize and pay across the web.
This is where we’re heading with Slice.
Ethereum accounts are the ideal identity layer for the web.
So we’re building a new kind of wallet, designed for humans and agents to authenticate and pay online.
Built on @zerodev Kernel v4, with passkeys, scoped permissions and native commerce primitives.
