“But men are not allowed to express themselves”
Yet y'all express your lust, anger, horniness, and need to control women very strongly, even violently. But showing empathy is where the line is crossed for you?

I usually wouldn't repost something like this because it just gives them more attention but I can't help myself. This is one of the worst ads I've ever seen.
Based on the product, I'm 90% whoever they hired to make the ad used AI to come up with it and write it. It's just, truly awful marketing.
"Are you in a relationship with a total loser who treats your horrible and sucks as a human being? Instead of breaking up with them, pay Orchid to babysit him while you waste the best dating years of your life."
@orchid_hq, if you ever want to do an ad that doesn't get absolutely destroyed online, DM me and I will connect you with talented humans who can do their best to salvage your dumb app.

Damn socialists...
This is exactly how it starts.
First it's groceries 30% cheaper. Then affordable housing. Then cheaper transit. Then accessible education.
Before you know it, people won't be struggling enough.
Tom Cruise tells every actor: spend time in the editing room and learn what Brando already knew about the lens
“I always tell actors, spend time in the editing room. Produce a movie and really understand and study movies, study old movies, study new movies.”
“Recognise what the composition is giving you, from comedy to drama. Know what those lenses are and know how to use it to your benefit and understand the lighting.”
“You look at guys like Brando in The Godfather, he knew what Gordon Willis was doing. He absolutely understood the lighting and the lenses. And all the greats, they understand it.”

Love to see that Robert Eggers is embracing an orthochromatic look on WERWULF to capture a very unique palette and texture.
While he initially planned on shooting the film in monochrome (black and white), he later pivoted to a color orthochromatic look. It almost registers as black and white, but has just enough color to feel off - At least based on this first look shot that was just released.
Orthochromatic film is a type of black and white stock that is blind to red light, which tends to crush skin tones among other tonal shifts. To get that aesthetic on a color film, Eggers and longtime DP Jarin Blaschke shot on color 35mm, then emulated the orthochromatic look in post - likely by prioritizing the blue and green channels and severely suppressing red.
They also then added more film grain from actual monochrome film to give it even more character. According to Eggers the goal was to achieve a grungy look with sickly complexions that play into the harsh 13th-century peasant world.

Spoke to a group indie directors about the uphill battle that is trying to make a living as a filmmaker. Thank you to everyone who spoke to me for their refreshing candor.

And to clarify, I wish they were financed! I wish these astonishing filmmakers didn’t have to fight so hard for so long to get money for their dream projects. I attach to movies because they’re good. ✌️
Carrie Coon’s post #WhiteLotus bump isn’t what you think, she reveals on THR's Drama Actress roundtable.
“As far as what' The White Lotus' does for careers, there were a lot of think pieces written about the show and the women... I still have to fight. I’m going to have to fight for big movies. What am I getting? I’m getting unfinanced indie scripts. That’s what I’m getting.” bit.ly/4fGqmoo

People telling the art director from Obsession “too bad, that’s what you signed up for” instead of collectively encouraging that once small budget films reach a certain number all cast and crew receive a bonus, is why we’ll never be free.
