Sovereign Defence. Nothing less.
We did not get here by talking. We got here because a small team burnt the midnight oil bent over oscilloscopes, RF benches, soldering stations, and FPGA toolchains, building things from first principles when it would have been easier to import them.
This contract matters but what it represents matters more: that Sovereign Defence capability is not a slide in a deck anymore. It is a deliverable, on a PO, with a delivery schedule.
This changes nothing about how we work tomorrow morning. The next system still has to be designed, debugged, qualified, shipped.
To the early investors who wrote cheques on conviction, before defence in India was a fashionable thesis, and who understood that this work does not move on consumer timelines - a big thank you!
If you build things on hard mode, if you want to contribute to building Sovereign Defence, we are hiring across the stack. Reach out.

Mission: Defend our country against modern threats.
@ArmoryShield
It's time you meet the real Dhurandhars of India.
The ones building for a battlefield where the threat can be cheap, autonomous and almost impossible to see coming.
@ArmoryShield is developing AI-enabled counter-drone systems designed to detect, track and neutralise rogue drones — building the technology India needs to defend its skies in a rapidly changing world.
Amardeep Singh, Founder of Armory, breaks it down with Shubhangi Mishra how counter-drone systems work, why traditional defence systems struggle against smaller drones, and what it takes to build this technology indigenously in India.
This is the kind of ambition fueling India's New Tech Order.

India can't import its way to owning a sovereign defence stack. At Armory, we build our own RF, from antenna to bitstream.
Hiring a Lead/Principal RF Engineer to own the architecture of our RF systems. If you'd rather build India's IP than integrate someone else's, there isn't a better opportunity.
Sovereign Defence. Nothing less.

Had a great time visiting the “Sovereign Factory” (and the giant tiranga).
Being built by @ArmoryShield @singhamardeep
Starting to ship truly indigenous counter-drone systems to protect India.
$10 million+ of orders in the first year, being fulfilled as we speak.
They’re building a cracked team

Proudly backing them @AntlerIndia @growXventures @ashish__taneja
Not funny, rather scary. It’s not hard to imagine an Army of such robots popping up on our borders.
Absolutely amazing 🚀
ORBIT ACHIEVED. 🚀
Vikram-1 Test Flight-1 has reached orbit. India's first privately developed orbital rocket has completed its final burn and injected its payloads into a ~450 km orbit, making India the third country in the world with private orbital launch capability.
History is made. 🇮🇳

🚨 Indian defencetech startup Armory is putting their indigenous anti-drone jammer system into production.
After securing a ₹100 crore order from the Ministry of Defence, @ArmoryShield has built a one-acre factory in Gurugram to manufacture their modular C-UAS, SURGE.

We had a special guest at the Armory lab who seemed to enjoy downing a drone or two. More from @RuntimeBRT soon.

Join us and build defence-tech that ships.
Real systems. Going to real frontlines. Used by real soldiers. 🇮🇳
We just landed a ₹100 Cr order from the Ministry of Defence, we're scaling fast and we need people who don't wait around for permission.
Hiring across engineering, product, ops, and manufacturing.

SURGE headed where it belongs - the frontline.
Now manufacturing for Indian defence forces. 🇮🇳
Operation Sindoor will be remembered as the inflection point in India’s journey from importing defence to building sovereign military capability. 🇮🇳
@ArmoryShield
One of the very important choices we made early on was to build hardware like software - iterative.
Instead of designing products in simulations we chose to take crude prototypes to field early and often. That's the only way we understand.
This has also been a great filter to recruit as well - whoever thinks that you need to design a perfect product and sets timelines in months is an easy to spot misfit.
Our timelines work in days and weeks, not months and years.
@ArmoryShield
Defence tech startup @ArmoryShield has secured a ₹100 Cr ($10.5 Mn) order from the defence ministry for its AI-powered counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS), SURGE.👇
Under the agreement, the company will manufacture and deploy SURGE systems for Indian forces. The platform leverages its proprietary ‘Samaritan OS’ to detect, track, and neutralise rogue drones by scanning environments at high frequency and continuously learning new RF signatures to strengthen its threat library.
Following the order, Armory plans to scale its manufacturing capacity, expand hiring, enhance its product portfolio, and strengthen its R&D centre in Manesar. Founded in 2024 by Amardeep Singh (@singhamardeep), Armory develops AI-enabled C-UAS solutions designed to detect and counter rogue drones, with systems built using continuous user feedback to address real-world operational conditions.

Breaking: Armory has won a ₹100 Cr order from the Ministry of Defence and Surge is going to the frontlines.
We are officially an Indian Defence Manufacturer and we're not going to pretend to be cool about this. We're proud. Really, really proud.
Built from zero. 20+ trials. Took notes from the soldiers who'd actually use it. Went back. Enhanced it. And won MoD’s trust in us.
To the frontlines. Surge is ready. 🇮🇳
