Chetwynd, Clarice Cliff's House in Clayton - inconveniently located outside the Stoke-on-Trent boundaries - the city that made her famous.

This is Chetwynd where Clarice Cliff lived after she married. Built 1899, it should be listed as an example of an Arts and Crafts house. It is in a safe pair of hands at present.

This is a really pitiful before and after. I featured this Frazer Crane house in Greater Manchester (pictured here) in 2011. The first link is what it was, the second link is the listing now.

Quite something, this 1930s art deco house in Worcester Park, Surrey, is one of the most architecturally interesting houses around and is now back on the market with a new agent a reduced price from its first listing. Although still a pricey affair. bit.ly/3yI8ypt

Happy #StaffordshireDay. My photos show I'm from the north of the county, but the knot unites a county of contrasts, from the Potteries and Newcastle to historic Lichfield, Cannock Chase and Tamworth, where ever that is 😉

That sounds good. Chetwynd House in Clayton should be listed. Built in 1899, it is a fine example of Arts & Crafts style with a unique history revolving around the CC story - but like so many 20th C buildings in North Staffs, it has no protection.

Indeed, tightening corners is a very efficient way to both reduce serious and fatal accidents, and make an area more walkable. And, the great thing about it, is that it's not very expensive.

#bottleoven owners face the issue of a regular need to remove vegetation but high-level access can cost. The Club is looking at ways maintenance can be made easier and has identified rope access as a more affordable option for veg removal - a few members have been trying it out.

FFS ... this is all talk. It's all fluff and bluster to give Stoke councillors something to justify their expense accounts for. Start by taking care of Hanley Town Hall, which, checks notes ... has trees growing out of its roofline!
