I'm excited to be heading to @symfonycon Warsaw this November! I'll be talking about PlaywrightPHP, and some of the new things it brings to testing Symfony apps... Real browsers. Symfony's test environment. And a few things that become possible... smnandre.dev/blog/see-you-at…

This one has been sitting pretty high on the LiveComponent wishlist. Downloads from LiveActions: redirect to a URL, send a file, or stream it on the fly! And yes.. LiveProps and state update in the same response too! (Coming in LiveComponent 3.5) ux.symfony.com/demos/live-co…

UX Inspector: just opened the PR! github.com/symfony/ux/pull/3… First version scope is reduced/limited in order to release first and then iterate on adding new features (interactive ones) Open to any (constructive) feedback!
Guess which PR I'm opening for Symfony UX tomorrow... or the day after?

Did you imagine using the opposite: any change made by a human - during dev I mean, not CI - ping the system and trigger agent ?

Am I the only one not impressed by Astra so far ? Not saying it’s bad or whatever… just did not expérience anything crazy so far :|

I guess it dépends on the hardest 5% .. if you manage dynamic routes, twig components and bundle routes… could be gold

Tous les bravos à @WedgeSama :) je fais partie du groupe « voulait faire ça depuis très longtemps » et également du groupe « n’aurait jamais eu le temps et la patience de faire cette PR et de la défendre pendant si longtemps ». Chapeau bas !

Now, as always, this is an additionnal tool offered, and everyone has the choice to use them or not, and you can be sleep with no fear: there is exactly 0.0% chance it will replace anything in the form component, not be presented or documented as the « default choice » :)

I totally agree in the « what if ». Yet for those who create DTO for their form because each of them has some very specific custom rule or content .. this really is a game changer in term of code.. and in a way leverzge (as I see it) the real power of attributes

At first I remember we had a discussion about forbidding this …. But in the end we acted that if form often use directly entities in Symfony form docs, it was not the mission of this particular feature to change the world. And would help understand the inversion of logic

My colleague and friend @WedgeSama introduced in Symfony form attributes! That completely flip the usual approach: instead of building a form type around a data class, the class can simply describe its own form. github.com/symfony/symfony/p…

Browsers Already Have It, S08E42 I've been playing with WebRTC lately, so... I made a small website about it. Demos, games, and a few ways to see what this Web API can actually do :) webrtc.smnandre.dev/ Paint's still fresh. Feedback welcome!

I'm a psychologist with ADHD. Some ADHD adults are not unable to work. They are unable to work full-time and still cook, clean, answer messages, see people and feel like a person. They can keep the job. They just lose everything outside it. Here is what that middle costs:
