Explicit teaching changed how we teach reading. Now it is changing how we teach writing. Oatley Public School started in 2023, & this year 96.5% of their Year 3 students reached the strong & exceeding bands. Well done Lauren Edwards & the team.

What a beautiful idea to show support.

We're not crying, you're crying 🥹🇦🇺 Socceroos winger Awer Mabil just dropped the most special message at the World Cup.
After the squad made a viral video about where they come from, the winger - who was born in a Kenyan refugee camp - explains what makes Australia 'the best country in the world': 'Many different backgrounds. One jersey.'
This is what the Socceroos are all about.
In Refugee Week, these are beautiful words from a special footballer and person.

Half measures aren't going to stop the normalisation of gambling among children.
Kids will still see 3 ads an hour on TV. They’ll still see ads during the halftime of live sport after 8.30 pm.
One parent told me recently they saw gambling ads at the movies with their kids before Project Hail Mary - that won't be changing.
I urge the Govt to change course and opt for a full, phased in ban, as recommended by the Murphy Review.
