I finally turned in my ballot at the downtown drop box. I passed dozens of people heading the same way, each with a ballot in hand.

RIP Sir Patrick Stewart. Fair winds and following seas. "The line must be drawn here." - Captain Jean-Luc Picard. 📷 Star Trek: First Contact Theme - Jerry Goldsmith. Played at NATO headquarters during 🇸🇪 flag raising ceremony marking Sweden's accession to the Alliance. (2024)

Wow.... Patrick Stewart felt immortal. To a lot of people, he wasn’t just an actor. He was Jean-Luc Picard. He was Charles Xavier. He was part of Dune, part of X-Men, part of Star Trek, part of so many movies and shows that helped shape generations of fans. The guy just always felt like he’d be here. That’s why this one hits so hard. And that’s why I’m choosing this photo of him at the beach, holding a drink and smiling. Because that feels like Patrick Stewart too. Not just the legendary actor, but the man people genuinely adored. He had that wonderful sense of humor, that warmth, that presence. He always came across like someone who loved what he did, loved the people around him, and elevated every room he was in. The world is a little dimmer today. Rest easy, Sir Patrick Stewart.

What an embarrassing self-own by the OJP. Journalistic malpractice or simple incompetence?

Worth considering why OJP believed the fake.
Thank you @OregonJournProj for the retraction! THE FLAG WAS UPSIDE DOWN!! Thank you to @PapaBearMyers for your work in research and filing the complaint! oregonjournalismproject.org/…

The very definition of gaslighting.
The Nafisa Fai "FlagGate" debacle continues. Fai tried to claim the original video was a deepfake by submitting an altered one to a reporter. I circled 8 issues (some obvious) with what Fai provided to try and clear her name. 1. SOMTV logo missing 2. Star positioned too high relative to red & white stripes 3. Artifacts leftover from the alteration 4. Remnants of the original flag's position above the gold ring around her headshot 5 & 7. Remnants of the original flag that they forgot to remove 6. Another artifact/glitch from the alteration 8. Shows position of the bottom of the original flag, which no longer matches the completely changed position in the altered photo Nafisa Fai cannot lie her way out this. And she clearly should fire whoever made this altered version. I sincerely hope @OregonJournProj will issue a retraction/correction, as it's quite clear the circulating video clip is indeed the real one, and Nafisa Fai is the fake. Thank you @EndWokeness for the original video and exposure!

Worth reposting... Lets examine the last 25 years of one-party control of Oregon: In 2001-03 Oregon's budget was $34 Billion: 32% for education 25% for social programs 12% for infrastructure 12% for administration 6% for public safety 13% for everything else The 2025-27 budget was $140 Billion, over four times higher: 18% for education 45% for social programs 7.5% for infrastructure 14% for administration 5% for public safety 10.5% for everything else Focus on the money they are giving away: In 2001-03, Oregon spent $8.5 Billion, 25% of its budget, on social programs. In 2025-27, they are spending $62.7 Billion, 45% of the budget on social programs. That is 7 times as much and almost half the budget on handouts. The “Healthier Oregon” part of Oregon Health Plan spends $1.3 Billion and offers free medical for illegal migrants. They spent $724 Million on “homeless services” = $60,412 per homeless person in 2024, and the homeless count rose anyway. Someone's getting that money, but you can walk around Portland and see all the homeless who don't look like they got any. Oregon schools sank to the bottom of the US for reading and math scores. To "fix" low graduation rates, Democrats passed a law stating that students don’t need to prove proficiency to graduate. They just extended it again for next year, and are boasting about increased graduation rates. Democrats aren't raising anyone out of poverty or improving education. They are building an empire of permanent dependency with themselves in charge. You can see their campaign ads saying, “Vote for us or the Republicans will take away your benefits!” Kotek can’t blame Oregon’s money troubles on Trump. Democrats have controlled Oregon politics this whole time, even as the Federal government has flipped party control 5 times!

The entire history of the United States can be counted in just three overlapping lifetimes. And the third man just wrote the soundtrack for Toy Story 5. In 1776, John Gray was a 12-year-old boy in Virginia. He grew up to fight in the Revolution and stood at Yorktown when Cornwallis surrendered. He lived until 1868, the last verified veteran of the Revolutionary War. Before Gray died, a boy was born in Michigan in 1852 named John Harvey Kellogg. He would go on to invent the corn flake with his brother. He survived far into the 20th century and passed away in 1943. And just two weeks before Kellogg died, a baby was born in Los Angeles named Randy Newman. Today he is an American icon, the voice behind decades of songs and film scores. A boy who watched the Revolution. The man who gave us corn flakes. And the songwriter who wrote "You've Got a Friend in Me." Just three lives, laid end to end, and you have crossed the entire history of the United States.

I have just been informed that King County has decided you must now show ID in order to observe the election process. However, there is still no requirement to provide ID to vote in the election. 🤡

9/11 hit me really hard this year. the one thing I realized after reading new stories, re-reading old ones, listening to voicemails, and hearing people tell their stories, is that love is the only thing that matters at the end of the day. thousands of people, facing the most horrific situations we can imagine and certain death, and all they wanted to do was call their family, their spouses, their friends, their children, and tell them that they love them. nothing else was important in those last moments for the victims of 9/11, except making sure their loved ones knew how much they loved them before they died. that is all that matters in our last moments. that’s all it boils down to when we’re getting ready to leave this earth — who we loved, how well we loved them, and how much we told them. I love y’all.

Never forget
President Trump Just Posthumously Awarded The Medal of Freedom To The Legendary 'Man In The Red Bandana' Who Sacrificed His Life Saving Others on 9/11 Welles Crowther was a 24-year-old equities trader from Upper Nyack, New York, working on the 104th floor of the South Tower on 9/11. He was also a volunteer firefighter. After the plane hit, he tied a red bandana over his face, found a stairwell that still worked, and went down to the 78th-floor sky lobby. Survivors later described a man in a red bandana who said “follow me.” He put out fires blocking the exit, directed people who could walk, carried a badly burned woman on his back, and led them down about 17 floors to safety. Then he went back up. He made multiple trips between the sky lobby and the stairs. After leading a second group down, he climbed again to look for more people. He was last seen with FDNY firefighters. His body was found months later in the South Tower lobby, near firefighters and close to the exit. Welles saved 18 lives that day. A true American hero.
