INSANE.
Former Mets 1B Pete Alonso is the first player in MLB history to hit 40 or more home runs in his first season with a team in both the National League and the American League.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Coach Mike Sweetney, a cherished friend of the YU Macs program and MacsLive.
Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
Rest in peace, Coach Mike. You will be deeply missed. BD”E
The world lost a giant today. I lost a close friend. The basketball world lost a beloved star. Our Jewish community lost an ally and someone who knew exactly how to show up.
Mike Sweetney wasn’t just a friend. He was family. When you needed him, he was there. Always. You didn’t even have to ask.
The very first message I got after October 7th, 2023 was from Mike checking if I was ok. He knew I was in Israel.
A couple of years later, when Iran attacked Israel with ballistic missiles, the first message I got was from Mike. He knew my son, Noah was there and wanted to make sure he was ok.
When we would run a charity event for troubled teens, Mike would show up.
He was there for our student-athletes at Yeshiva University day in and day out, regardless of his other responsibilities and jobs. His dedication to mental health awareness and his willingness to share his story for the benefit of others was the work of a selfless human being with a huge heart.
Mike - we love you and we will miss you. Thanks for everything.
If you would like to assist the family, please feel free to reach out directly and I will give instructions.

Had an impromptu interview with @talljewishradio on @NachumSegalNet this morning, bright and early 🎙️☀️
I was in a random building for a meeting and the office of my meeting happened to be on the same floor as Nachum’s studio 👀
We crossed paths in the hallway, he greeted me graciously, yelling, “You’re the Suits!” and he invited me into his studio for an interview right then and there - on the air. During his show. Zero prep.
I had a blast talking #SidelineSuits memories, mishaps and more during my time @MacsLive @PoppersMacsLive @YUathletics @elliotsteinmetz. I’m sure there’s a lot more we could have spoken about but we’ll save that for next time 😉

deGrom in 2018 had a 1.70 ERA, 269 strikeouts, a 0.91 WHIP across 217 innings. His reward was a 10-9 record and, thankfully, the NL Cy Young. Baseball nearly punished the best pitcher alive for his team's offense.
🐝 SAR’s ace pitcher Jackson Feit has been huge for them over the past few seasons, leading them to multiple championships across the #YeshivaLeague and other tournaments around country.

🎤 How SAR’s catcher Matthew Milstein AKA Matty Mills balances catching and hitting with a light-hearted and joking personality.
Milstein just helped the Sting secure their second straight #YeshivaLeague baseball championship on June 18 vs. TABC.
