I have had it explained to my thick self. Kevin Guy used the cloak of @westofenglandCA deputy mayor (which he wasn't) to attend a £500-a-head function in order to avoid having to put it on his @Bathnes hospitality register. That's abuse of office. Unless he can prove otherwise...
Hat tip to @MrUnrevealed for this. Kevin Guy has either told a lie or ... well I don't know what excuse the burning deck of his @bathnes leader's office will yield. I don't think "transition" quite covers this. Here he is (right) with Helen Godwin, @WestofEnglandCA mayor ...1

Celebrating fewer jobs and less investment - a great day for Bath's Green party. I haven't seen them as excited except when they got a go on the scythe at the community nuttery.

Remember the hospitality at the rugby that Carrakev didn't declare to @bathnes as he was there NOT as leader of Bath Council but instead was deputising for the WECA mayor? The one when Bath Rugby had their planning in? Turns out the WECA mayor was there. Fancy that.
But the thing is you can't deputise for someone if they happen to be there. And it seems that Helen Godwin was, although she valued the engagement at a quid cheaper than Cllr Guy. I am sure Cllr Guy will come up with an excuse but this is bad behaviour and conduct unbecoming.

There’s a certain irony in a city as historically constrained as Bath trying to re-engineer its traffic flows without seemingly anticipating where the displaced traffic would end up. You can hardly be surprised that closing or restricting one route pushes congestion onto another.

Stumbled over this Business West post on LinkedIn. Why would a police and crime commissioner be giving an economic update at a party conference? Is the OPCC just an operation to employ Labour party members short of something to do?

Glad you know already what the full structural survey will say. Where did you get your crystal ball from btw? When you grow up you might read The Times, but then again…

@andyburnham: why doesn’t Government ban “floating” bus stops, when it knows (or ought to know) that The Human Rights Tribunal in British Columbia has ruled that separating the sidewalk from the bus stop, without adequate, safe design discriminates against the visually impaired?

GB Energy, the useless state-owned company established by Labour, has so far spent £14.2m on running costs — and £5.8m on investments. Running costs included the almost £400,000/year paid to its ineffective CEO and six executives on more than £100,000 each. What any of them has done to earn these sums is one of life’s mysteries. Perhaps it’s a blessing it’s invested so little. The £5.8m it has earmarked is for a proposed floating wind farm off the north coast of Scotland — a sure-fire loss-maker if ever there was one.

The Times exposed B&NES longstanding maladministration & cycle lane zealotry today. In their haste to instal another 40 yds of cycle lane, they have collapsed a 200 year old canal bridge over the A36, a Primary Route. Long traffic queues for the next 2 years & huge repair costs.

@Curo_Group is in financial trouble. That came from a very good source. Every dog has its day.

It will be a contraflow lane, running the opposite way to the traffic, with replica tulips to separate it from cars. bathecho.co.uk/news/communit…

My statement for @westofenglandCA scrutiny committee on Monday. Next week we may see a lot of our democratic rights curtailed and our efforts to improve Weca's accountability thwarted by the authority's officers. We will remember those who did this.

Hey B&NES Council - YOU have encouraged these illegal ebikes into Bath with your stupid aim of encouraging commuters to convert to ’sustainable’ forms of personal transport. What are you going to do about it? . instagram.com/reel/DeBnhUXt-…
