The Times exposed B&NES longstanding maladministration & cycle lane zealotry today. In their haste to instal another 40 yds of cycle lane, they have collapsed a 200 year old canal bridge over the A36, a Primary Route. Long traffic queues for the next 2 years & huge repair costs.

Angela Rayner is saying Reform must "follow the rules" regarding these record donations. She is not arguing that we have broken any rules. She is arguing that we *will* have broken rules her party intends to create and apply retroactively to confiscate donations that were lawful when received. This is unprecedented. Literally changing the rules after the fact to punish a political opponent. How can anyone operate on these terms? It would be fatal to the very concept of the rule of law. If Burnham does this, he will be responsible for collapsing the legitimacy of democratic government in Britain.

Four years ago this week. Four years - our last family holiday. 11 months later our world shattered forever. 💔 I write this post from almost the same location, but in so much pain. It’s limitless and infinite. It hurts to be here. In fact, it hurts to be anywhere. Today I really miss my boy. But for Charlie, and for Dave and my family and friends who I know love and need me. I’ll stick around. I hope the relevant staff at @NHSNotts see these images of Barney. This is what your failure did. Have the decency to act with candour in the corporate manslaughter investigation. Do the right thing. Finally. 🙏

Imagine you had a 78 year old grandparent who lived on her own…whose views were a bit out there at times but definitely not the worst. And some vile, disgusting, hateful animal went to her home, whilst she sat eating her dinner, and struck her 21 times on the head with a hammer. Imagine the fear that poor, defenceless woman must have felt in her final moments.... The disgusting comments I’ve seen about this woman’s death on facebook (from the left) have been absolutely disgraceful beyond words... You may not have agreed with her, or even liked her, but to celebrate her death makes you a scumbag, not funny or clever.

I worked with Andrew Harper's family to bring in Harper's Law so those who kill police and emergency service workers get mandatory life sentences. It's outrageous that under Labour's early release scheme, two of those responsible for Andrew's death could be let out early. It's insulting that Labour Ministers joke about it. These offenders should be kept behind bars where they belong. Read my article below 👇 gbnews.com/opinion/labour-ea…

Today at 11am we changed our profile picture to PC Andrew Harper for 72 hours following the news that two men convicted of his manslaughter will be released early from prison under new sentencing rules. Andrew made the ultimate sacrifice protecting the public. We remember him.

The Labour Party is steeped in the history of huge political figures like John Smith, Clement Atlee, Donald Dewar, Mo Mowlam, Tony Benn, Barbara Castle, Jimmy Reid, Aneurin Bevan, Keir Hardie and Denis Healey. Whether you agreed with them or not, they were genuine conviction politicians and public servants who cared about supporting the most vulnerable in society, standing up against unethical corporations, protecting freedom of speech and championing the underdog. And now we have Keir Starmer…a horrendous politician who does the exact opposite of all of the aforementioned Labour politicians. He’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. A genuine fraud against the once proud traditions within the Labour Party. One of the biggest political sell-outs in British political history.

I’m sorry but what. Britain is NOT sending to prison a Labour Member of Parliament who was filmed assaulting one of his own voters but IS sending to prison people who wrote some challenging things on Facebook in their own home? Is this actually happening?

Regarding the Sydney Buildings LN Call-In. The Cllr for Widcombe (the neighbouring ward) appears to believe that the residents she represents do not require extended periods of traffic congestion to conduct their daily activities. Neither do the rest of Bath.

BATH: Decision to make controversial Bath traffic trial permanent is halted How many times does the LibDem Council have to be told that one person signing off roadblocks against the majority is undemocratic? @bathnesld @EdwardJDavey @Wera_Hobhouse bathecho.co.uk/news/communit…

I’m pleased to have the signatures of 12 fellow councillors, from across all opposition’ groups, as I lead the call in, to expose all the impacts this trial has already had, even before the A36 is reopened.
