✨ I had a wonderful time attending the @GULFHeartAssoc 17th Annual Meeting! 🎉 Honored to participate and present the only abstract from Kuwait🇰🇼 Sharing new insights from our work at AlDabbous Cardiac Center. 💡 Key highlights from our abstract: 1️⃣ We are the first cardiac center in Kuwait to run a hospital-based smoking cessation clinic operated by a cardiologist, created to capture the critical “teachable moment” right after ACS, when patients are most motivated to quit. 2️⃣ We introduced a structured smoking survey and routinely assessed nicotine dependence using the Fagerström score for ACS patients at admission. 3️⃣ Our findings showed that high nicotine dependence is strongly associated with more severe coronary artery disease. #smokingCessation #Cardiology #AcuteCoronarySyndrome #GHA17 @1sinusrhythm
