Leos-Urbel et al. (2013, p.91) found that the universal provision of free breakfasts significantly improved attendance within schools and children’s academic achievements. Day 4 of #ChallengePovertyWeek we hear from some pupils who eat a free breakfast at school everyday.
Day 4 - S1 learners from Charleston Academy in Inverness who used the free breakfast for all were asked their opinions on this. Learner participation is essential for all of us to learn.
