To commemorate 12 years of the Make In India programme and to coincide with the visit of Mr Narayan Sethuramon, Chair CII Trade Policy Council, to London, CII organised a business roundtable with mid- sized British manufacturing companies hosted by Ms Nidhi Mani Tripathi, Minister Economic, High Commission of India on 25 September, in London. There is clear interest and enthusiasm in British manufacturers for Make in India, especially through the lens of the India UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement.

The CII convened a business roundtable in London of leading British and Indian companies across the seven priority sectors under the India UK Technology Security Initiative to coincide with the visit of Mr Pavan Kapoor, India's Deputy National Security Adviser.

CII supported the Scotland India Business Forum meetings organised by the Scottish Chambers of Commerce and the Scottish Enterprise, on 30 and 31 July in Glasgow.
Deliberations revolved around strong conversations, shared ambitions, and exciting opportunities that lie ahead. Indian and Scottish business leaders came together to discuss doing business together, the potential of CETA, and building long-term partnerships across manufacturing, life sciences, food & drink, and technology.

Preeti Chaudhary has delivered one of the most graceful, fearless and devastating rebuttals to Kangana Ranaut’s deeply misogynistic remarks targeting an entire generation of young women.
Without trading insults or descending into theatrics, Preeti simply held up a mirror to Kangana. She made it unequivocally clear that an entire generation of young women cannot be dismissed through prejudice, stereotypes or sweeping labels. They deserve to be heard, not ridiculed for asking uncomfortable questions or refusing to conform.
Her closing observation was the knockout punch: If Kangana still has any doubts about Gen Z, she doesn’t need another monologue, she just needs to scroll through the comments under her own post.

As the founder of Florence Shoe Company, he shared an incredible story of how an international customer spotted a luxury Hugo Boss shoe at Cairo Airport, checked the label, and saw those proud words ‘Made in India’, which was manufactured by his company.
For entrepreneurs like Aqeel, quality is not just a corporate metric, it is a national responsibility. His work has not only put Indian craftsmanship on global shelves for iconic brands but has also driven large-scale rural employment, championed women’s empowerment in manufacturing, and pioneered sustainable zero liquid discharge technologies.
