Having expanded London's network of Cycleways from 90km in 2016 to over 450km today, there are now on average 1.5 million cycle trips a day.
Wonderful to be part of this happy group of commuters.

Respected @NayabSainiBJP ji
As your Sweden visit draws to a close, and your Singapore visit is already behind us, may we ask: did you get an opportunity to study how these countries provide clean air, walkable cities, effective civic services and a healthy environment for their people and most of all how did they accomplish compliances ?
What lessons can Haryana bring home and implement on the ground?
May we also suggest a small exercise? Please travel with ordinary taxpayers, without the convoy, through Gurugram, Manesar, Faridabad, Bahadurgarh, Mahendragarh, Rohtak and Sonipat.
Listen to us - our everyday experience and appeals are the real measure of Haryana’s progress.

It’s not even winter, and Mumbai (AQI 170), Delhi (197), Bengaluru (173) and Ahmedabad (155) are already battling unhealthy air.
Mumbai: AQI 170 | PM2.5 85 | PM10 87
Delhi: AQI 197 | PM2.5 129 | PM10 170
Bengaluru: AQI 173 | PM2.5 87 | PM10 107
Ahmedabad: AQI 155 | PM2.5 65 | PM10 112
PM2.5 comes from vehicle exhaust, combustion and industrial emissions; PM10 also includes road dust and construction debris.
What should cities do?
🇹🇭 Bangkok made public transport free for 7 days during its 2025 pollution crisis.
🇫🇷 Paris has used temporary vehicle restrictions during pollution episodes.
Indian cities must implemented pollution-triggered action plans: free public transport on severe pollution days, restrictions on high-emitting vehicles, low-emission zones, dust control and a phased ban on new ICE vehicle registrations.
Mumbai AQI is consecutively higher than Delhi AQI despite Mumbai having 15 kmph of more windspeed than Delhi.
Local emission are much more in Mumbai and Mumbaikars are breathing more toxic air on ground that what is recorded ambient air quality stations.
Mumbai needs to do real world emission study to understand segment wise emissions and draft targeted policies.
This will only get worse.

It does not take 40000 USD per capita & pothole free roads to stop for pedestrians crossing the road.
For this single reason Indian motorists are unqualified worthless parasitic scums undeserving of motor vehicle driving privileges.

One of these vehicles is seen as a symbol of an elitist lifestyle that imposes itself on society, monopolizes street space, creates danger and takes away the freedom of others.
The other one is a SUV.

He is Jyotiraditya Scindia. His forefathers were the rulers of Gwalior. His father, Madhavrao Scindia, was a minister in the Indian government.
He himself is a Cabinet Minister. His son graduated from Yale University in the USA and also became the youngest president of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association.
Yesterday, when a voter from his constituency asked him to get a road built, saying he wouldn't vote for him again otherwise, he replied, “Don’t dare talk to me like that.”

Yesterday’s diya campaign was terribly rejected by the people of India. And rightly so!
People need answers on unemployment, job creation, paper leaks, education reforms, food adulteration, petrol adulteration, air pollution, corrupt judges, etc. Not be lighting diyas on a politician’s birthday like megalomaniacs! Not to forget, it was also an insult to Hinduism. No Hindu or any religious devotee of any faith for that matter should offer such sacred diyas and aartis to a human being, only to their god.
In the lust for eternal power, this government and its andhbhakts have attempted to immortalise a mere mortal. In other words, attempted to equate him to god.

Have we elected these people to do all this drama? Elected CM to do havan like a megalomaniac on Modi’s birthday? Which other country has such scenes? Satya Niketan is fresh in people’s minds. Has Rekha ji done a shanti havan for those students’ families? They are complete failures when it comes to building a developed India of our dreams.
