As an American, as an elected leader, and as a father concerned for the future of our children, I am proud of my @housebudgetGOP colleagues for advancing this budget and taking real steps to rein in our federal government and restore fiscal sanity to Washington.
It’s 218 time, @HouseGOP. Let’s pass this budget and deliver President Trump’s FULL America First agenda!

For voters on Tuesday, please realize that the polling places will change from the early voting locals. Lubbock has Vote Centers, so you can vote at any of the polling locations, even if you don’t live in that neighborhood. Pretty easy.

Texas Secretary of State @TXsecofstate Jane Nelson releases updated guidance No. 2024-31, clarifying that when an individual attempts to vote with a temporary or limited-term driver's license, election workers must require that the individual produce a naturalization card or naturalization certificate demonstrating U.S. citizenship to receive a regular ballot. Special thanks to @TexasGOP legal counsel Rachel Hooper and all of our grassroots members. Let's win this! #Victory

Thanks to @sevanstx and @mecrow61 for hosting while I was in Red River, NM. I'll be back on air Monday and have a lot to catch up on as I paid zero attention to any news while I was out of town. I did meet a lot of great people, spent a lot of time with my wife, and enjoyed nature. Now I'm off to enjoy dinner and margaritas with the neighbors as the sun goes down.

A trade association (@TAPTP ) whose members make $$$ off of taxpayers trying to lower their appraised values is texting into member’s districts trying to stop a bill (HJR1) that would keep property valuations from increasing rapidly! Their hypocrisy knows no bounds!!

Let’s be clear - some don’t want solutions. They complain about the status quo, and then create false narratives about solutions to try and manufacture outrage.
And the voters of Texas have given warning that they want a safe and secure border. #txlege
Let's be clear—HB 20 is a "Show me Your Papers" bill being enforced by a new state police force.
This legislation is a tinderbox waiting to explode that will leave this session in flames.
And House Republicans have been warned. #txlege
ALT Texas Republicans seek to build civilian 'Border Protection Unit.' Democrats warn of profiling.

Diversity on college campuses is in itself a noble mission, but so-called DEI initiatives are not welcome in Texas.

Today, I met with President Biden during his first visit to the border.
I hand-delivered a letter asking him to do his constitutional duty to secure our border and keep Texans — and Americans — safe.

I applaud @GovAbbott for invoking the invasion clauses of the U.S. and Texas Constitutions to authorize our state to take unprecedented measures at the border to ensure our safety. Where the federal government has failed, Texas must continue to act!

Taking Friday and Monday off from both shows. Looking forward to a long weekend with family, fishing, cigars, and grilling. Maybe a few beverages as well.

Cole Shooter will host 8:30-11am on Friday and @sevanstx will take the reigns of the afternoon show from 5-7pm on @KFYO, @1470kyyw, and @NewsTalk1290 on Friday afternoon. I believe we will be running a Best Of on Monday afternoon.
