Thanks to @RepCraigGoldman leadership Texas is a safer State!
Alex Karp is 100% correct about fentanyl here — we would be dropping bombs on whoever created and distributed it if the elites were dying en masse.
This is not a recreational drug, like cannabis, alcohol or psychedelics — which we should regulate and decriminalize.
Fentanyl makes heroin look benign!
Fentanyl is a chemical weapon and should be treated as such.
Given the number of deaths caused by it, you could make a reasonable argument to give the death penalty to distributors AND to even start war over it — as crazy as that seems.
Consider this: less people died in 9/11 than from fentanyl — THIS MONTH!

This is racist and sinful rhetoric that seeks to harm and to divide. It is disturbing that it comes from a candidate for public office. An apology is called for. @FWdiocese @NTCatholic @TXCatholic @USCCBGovRel #Txlege
Thank you for your leadership in working to protect our Republic!

This is the Republican nominee for statewide office. Are other Republican elected officials going to condemn the intolerance and racism, or look the other way while it becomes normalized. This is how great political parties self-destruct. Sad.

Really fun conversation with @DrewSpringer on all the AI and infrastructure fights happening across the state this week. Yall should check it out – at Sugar Land, TX
Data centers are lowering the cost of living across Texas.
Former State Sen. @DrewSpringer joins me to break down why the grid crushed a record 91,000 MW heat wave with zero alerts, who actually pays for new power lines, and why guardrails beat bans on data centers.

DATA CENTER FACT VS FICTION
FICTION: Data centers only benefit Big Tech.
FACT: Data centers power everyday life.
They keep hospitals connected to patient records, process secure banking transactions, support manufacturers, and make it possible to stream movies, use GPS, back up photos, and access online classrooms.
Every digital service has to live somewhere.
Today’s data centers are essential infrastructure — just like power plants and water systems. As demand for AI, cloud computing, and digital services grows, so does the need for the facilities that power them.
They’re not just for Big Tech. They’re the backbone of the modern economy.

Big day at #ALEC.
I was Honored to join @StephenMoore and @SteveDelBianco as the breakfast warmup on AI Data Centers. The real statistics cut through the noise: Texas already has over 335 data centers employing in 2024 more than 102,000 direct employees, 429k more associated employement, with over $39 Billion Dollars in generated econmic activity That’s serious investment, real jobs, and the kind of growth that powers our state economy.
Right after our panel, Phil Gramm (former #TAMU professor) delivered a strong message on economic capitalism and why sustained growth still matters for families and the future...
This organization gets it: economic growth first—means jobs ad opportunity for Texas families for their whole lives.
Proud to stand with other @ALEC_states leaders, @PhilKingTX , @CarolineForTX, Dr @TomOliverson, who still believe in free enterprise and Texas-sized opportunities! Senate Colleagues @ElectAHinojosa, @DennisPaulTexas, and @HagenbuchTX, all working in model bill policies, but "Uncle Paul," still batting 1,000 on his ALEC models bills! LOL
