@BusinessInsider’s article out today shows @Uber’s net driver pay/work hr ranges from $3.18! (Orlando)-$21.87 (Boston). @Uber claims my analysis is “riddled with flaws”, but their own data filed by law in CO shows actual driver pay/active mi is even lower than figures I used businessinsider.com/uber-pay…

Although I agree with most of what you're saying regarding active vs passive investing, it is very much possible to achieve way above average benchmark beating returns by actively trading. Numbers don't lie, 6 figure Schwab trading account as well as $1k small Robinhood account YTD results.

Merriam-Webster defines "Enshittification" as a process by which a digital platform gradually maximizes shareholder profits while degrading the experience of users. Uber is a poster child, as described in my article. len-sherman.medium.com/the-e… @Uber @ericries @sergioaved

😂 pax wouldn't pay too much if Uber went for a lower take rate. Factoring inflation for the last decade, drivers are driving for a lot less than before. You want to talk economics, we can do that. The demand in Washington State is not down due to drivers making more, it's due to the macro shifts in the state due to high tech layoffs. Uber charges riders more much more than regulated cab rates, look at your receipts. As much as 7-8 dollars a mile! But they don't share the wealth. Have a good one.

Less transparent than the sticky surge. Then you know what you're getting, now who knows? More room for shaving possibilities.

@uber is testing a new surge algorithm on its drivers. I must have gotten dozens of emails about this and compelled to share it with the community before Tuesday's SMTMC @TheRideshareGuy. This is drastically different than the sticky flat rate surge. Not saying it's worse but...

And who paid and passed Prop 22 to the tune of 220 million dollars? Uber, Lyft, DoorDash etc. etc. My upcoming trip to Seattle should be a decent fact finding mission. I'll share the data on SMTMC.

We had this before Prop 22 kicked in CA for about 9 months when TNCs failed the AB test. Most if not all ICs set their rates for the job at hand, like a plumber or electrician etc. Cabs have regulated rates, only platform companies set the rates for both sides of the marketplace.

💯 royalties my way? 😂 In Washington State it's P3 only for those rates, with upfront, no one knows if they pay for pickup, sometimes they do. So just compare 🍎 to 🍎, take your upfront fare devide by P3 time/distance.
