Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī [d. 1210] ʿAlī, peace be upon him, used to recite the basmalah aloud emphatically. When political power passed to the Banū Umayyah, they intensified their prohibition of reciting it aloud, seeking thereby to obliterate the legacy of ʿAlī, peace be upon him. Perhaps Anas feared them, and for this reason his statements on the matter became inconsistent. [...] As for the fact that ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib, may God be pleased with him, recited the basmalah aloud, that has been established through mass transmission. Whoever follows ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib in his religion has indeed been guided.

Qāḍī al-Quḍāt ʿAbd al-Jabbār al-Hamadhānī [d. 1025]: May God have mercy on you: hatred has unmistakable manifestations, and love has its own signs and indications. Do you not see that when Muʿāwiyah, the family of Abū Sufyān, and the family of Marwān came to hate and oppose them, they did not acknowledge them in matters of the imamate, nor did they refer to them for judicial decisions or religious verdicts? Rather, they cursed them, fought them, killed them, and instructed their children to do the same. The same was done by Banū Hāshim, both the descendants of al-ʿAbbās and the descendants of Abū Ṭālib, towards Banū Umayyah.

the cope is CRAZY hahaha

rivayeti okuyunca gözlerimden kalpler fışkırarak tekbir çektim yemin ediyorum İmam-ı Azam Ebu Hanife'den rivayetle. Hammad bin Ebî Süleyman'ı şöyle derken işittim: "İbrahim en-Nehaî'ye baktığımda, onun yaşayışını ve davranışlarını kim gördüyse onun hâli Alkame'nin hâli gibiydi. Kim de Alkame'nin hâlini gördüyse, onun hâli Abdullah bin Mesud'un hâli gibiydi. Kim de Abdullah bin Mesud'un hâlini gördüyse, onun hâli Rasulullah aleyhissalatu vesselamın hâli gibiydi." | Câmi'u mesânîdi'l İmâmi'l Â'zam, Ebu'l Mueyyed el-Hârizmî ya rabbi hepsini çok seviyoruz, isimlerini görünce içimiz sıcacık oluyor, bizim amelimiz bizi iki adım öteye taşımaz sen bizi sevdiklerimizle beraber eyle

may god be pleased with you malik al-ashtar.
Imam Ali (pbuh) wrote to Mālik al-Ashtar: “Accustom your heart to mercy for the people, affection for them, and kindness toward them. Do not stand over them like a predatory beast, seeking to devour them, for they are of two kinds: either your brother in religion or one like you in creation.” 📚 Nahj al-Balāghah, Letter 53. Zayd ibn ʿAlī narrated to me, from his father, from his grandfather, from ʿAlī (may Allah be pleased with them), who said: “Before Islam became manifest, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I used to tend sheep in the valley of Nakhlah. Abū Ṭālib came upon us while we were praying and said, ‘O son of my brother, what are you two doing?’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ invited him to Islam and to testify that there is no deity except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. He replied, ‘I see nothing wrong with what you two are saying, but, by Allah, my buttocks shall never be above yours.’” ʿAlī (may Allah be pleased with him) then laughed until his back teeth became visible. He said, “O Allah, I do not acknowledge any servant from this community who worshipped You before me, except its Prophet.” He repeated this three times. Then he said, “By Allah, I prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for seven years before any human being prayed [with him].”

o you who keep pouring wine, again and again, into the cups of my rivals, how long will you pour the heart’s blood of lovers into the goblet? at every moment, you show kindness to others, while me, through successive acts of cruelty, you make my heart bleed moment after moment. if the road has been lost, the camel bears no blame for its bewilderment; why do you pursue this innocent wayfarer’s camel? hear my lament and cries, by god, how much longer will you lend your ear to the sound of the harp and the lament of the reed? o cupbearer, it is morning, the garden’s edge awaits, and hātef is hungover; if you are not pouring wine into the goblet now, when will you? — hātef isfahāni [d. 1783]

my love for banu hashim will go down in the grave with me.

Ibn Kathīr writes in al-Bidāyah wa-l-Nihāyah, Hajr edition (10/334): The great ḥāfiẓ Abū al-Qāsim ibn ʿAsākir devoted attention to collecting the various chains of transmission reporting from ʿAlī that he disavowed responsibility for ʿUthmān’s blood. In his sermons and elsewhere, he would swear that he had neither killed ʿUthmān, ordered his killing, colluded in it, nor approved of it. Indeed, he had forbidden it, but they did not heed him. This has been established from him through chains that, in the view of many leading hadith scholars, yield certainty. Praise and gratitude belong to God. It has also been established through more than one chain that ʿAlī said, “I hope that ʿUthmān and I will be among those concerning whom God Most High said: ‘We shall remove whatever rancour there is in their breasts, as brothers, seated upon couches facing one another’” (Qurʾān 15:47). It has likewise been established through more than one chain that he said that ʿUthmān was among those who believed and performed righteous deeds, then remained mindful of God and believed, then remained mindful of God and excelled in good.
