Doubt it
My money is on the Taliban threat. Compellence worked here because the threat was credible and the proposed costs were commensurate with the demand. He almost certainly reassured Tehran on Yemen as well.

Winter is coming dude, they need gas an oil. Next year or so coal to gas and coal to diesel should be up. arabnews.pk/pakistan/pakista…

Also, apparently the limited re-opening of the Pak-Iran border was considered due to some pressure from China.

Dude its a theme resturant. There are like a dozen Texas style resturant in Islamabad even a chain. Means nothing.
The Islamic regime failed so damn hard that Texan culture is more popular than Islamic culture in Iran now.

Dude, the only way is direct land forces. And they can't do that.
The Saudis are not gonna win this tit-for-tat with the Houthis. Attacking Sanaa Airport is simply not the same as attacking Riyadh Airport. The Saudis need to significantly raise the stakes here if they wanna get anywhere with this thing.

Pakistan does not have a public beach culture as such. And private beaches look like….anywhere else. Maybe less bikini. Since it’s really hot.
Actually, you probably won't see those many hijabs and burqas even at a Pakistani beach. An average Pakistani city girl doesn't dress like that in most cases.

PIA cancelling flights. They never do. Thats a sign
First, we heard how much of a regional gamechanger the Saudi-Pak-Turk pact is going to be. Then we heard that hey this pact is actually against Israel you know. Then for a while we heard crickets when Saudis started getting attacked by Houthis right after. Then, when Yemenis announced an offensive, we heard that there won't be any Pakistani and Turkish forces involved because the pact is purely defensive you know. Then we heard that due to the very defensive nature of the pact, Pakistan and Turkey have transferred air defence and other equipment to Saudi, along with defensive troops from Pakistan. Now we hear that all those defensive measures are working out so well that Pakistani national airline itself has to temporarily suspend flights to Riyadh. What's gonna be the excuse this time?

It’s a pretty weird denial. False and fabricated. Didn’t actually deny specifically.
Looks like Pakistan is denying the media reports, quoting Pakistan's own officials, stating that Pakistani aircraft are taking part in strikes against Houthis. Odd.

Maybe better SEAD
Does it really matter if Pakistani jets are taking part in airstrikes on Houthis, when: - Saudis don't want to go for decapitation strikes - Saudis already have a powerful AF - Houthis don't have a real AF Paki jets could have made a real difference in the air if Houthis had an actual AF. But right now Paki jets are doing the same thing that the Saudi jets are. At best, they give Saudis some additional numbers in the sky. That's it.

Supportive ICU-level care following anoxic brain injury from any number of mechanisms is fairly standardized. But yes, the details of this case are unusual.

Yeah, sorry to break it to you, but you do smell. Like everyone else.
IT'S YOUR PERFUME. I've seen this many times. A foreigner or in this case a black person goes to China or East Asia, and they are greeted with covered noses and mouths. They think to themselves, I smell good, I applied perfume before leaving, why are they doing this? This must be racism. Chinese and East Asians do not have body odor, ~95% of us carry a variant in the ABCC11 gene causing us to produce no smell after sweating. You can't even find deodorants supermarkets in China, people just don't need it. So our sense of smell is not used to strong perfumes, and when you enter a confined space with your perfume, people literally find the smell stinging our noses.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
East Asians with the odor-reduced AA ABCC11 genotype still produce measurable amounts of the same axillary odorants — significantly less, not none. Variant frequency also varies by population: 0.904 in Han Chinese, 0.733 in Okinawa, 0.732 in Vietnamese. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC54… pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC35…

Pakistani establishment has a reflex dislike of Russia. Thanks to 1971. Of this is true, Ukraine should strat looking up brochures. Pretty much anything theu want, they will get.
Pakistani analysis, which is entirely driven by low-IQ analysts and consumed by an even dumber audience, is so outdated that it's pretty funny. Like what do you mean you are just finding out that Russia supports the Taliban. What old stupid rock have you been living under all this time. Yes, the Russia-Iran-Taliban troika is real. And now India is squeezing itself into that equation too.

RAF 🇬🇧 established landing ground in Mianwali in early 1920s for swift movement of army co-operation aircrafts from aircraft park in Lahore to frontier duties in Miranshah & Wana (North and South Waziristan agency) ... During WW2 in 1942, it was paved with cement runway and dispersal area but as 🇵🇰 came into being and operation Curzon led to withdrawal of regular units from tribal area, Mianwali was put on "back burner" for almost two decades. After 65 war, PAF established an operational command to fill gaps in infrastructure and oversee all bases from mauripur to peshawar alike. Wings of under construction Rafiqui (shorkot) were clipped as new FOB at Mianwali was initiated, contrary to original decision of operationalising an alternate base for Sargodha in Jhang district of punjab. Finally, in oct 1970 this new home of 🦅 was inaugurated by moving detachments of F-6 & Mirage 3. Real test came shortly when IAF Hunters attacked it on 4th dec 1971. Bogeys missed the 'Farmer' on ORP but Flg off. Qazi javed of No 25 sqn managed to shoot down Hunter of pathankot based No 27 sqn 🇮🇳 during egress in which fg off Vidhyadhar shankar chati was taken PoW near Khabaki lake of soon valley ! Mirage 3 of No 5 sqn flown by Flt Lt Naeem atta shotdown IAF Canbera (IF 916) during the same night with sidewinder near Nara village of khushab. Both crew members of Agra based jet bomber conversion unit (JBCU) Flt Lt Lloyd moses sasoon (pilot) and Ram metharam advani (navigator) perished on impact 😶 The very next day, lone hunter attacked Sakesar FPS-20 radar. Mirages were scrambled to intercept but significant damage was done to 📡 which took 3 days of emergency repair. Sqn Ldr Jal manekshaw mistry of No 20 sqn was killed in action. No. 7 sqn bandits with 10 B-57 bombers & OC wing commander muhammad yunis was also located at Mianwali. They struck srinagar, avantipur, amritsar, pathankot, halwara, adampur, sirsa and bikaner AFS with gusto but lost one bomber and its crew over amritsar. IAF Canberas bombed mianwali in return but killed rural folks instead of hitting the base. PAF C-130s were chipped in for a unique night time bombing 💣 of Jaisalmer deep into thar desert of Rajasthan ! That is how first combat experience of this new base ended. Seeing its potential, top brass quickly upgraded it to MOB status and inaugurated fighter conversion unit for training young pilots. Rafiqui was waiting to settle its score and became front line fighter base with newly inducted Mirage 5 in 1973 by deployment of No 9 sqn Griffins. That is how destiny shifted, one with FT-5, FT-6 trainers and another with real horses 🐎 ... rivalry continued well into later decades as "clipping of wings" was never forgiven !
PAF Base M.M Alam (Mianwali) is a premier airbase in 🇵🇰 where future leaders & fighter pilots are trained after graduation from Risalpur ... Established in 1970 as FOB to underwent 'baptism with fire' of 71 war, when 🇮🇳 hunters and canbera jets attacked it ! Every PAF fighter jockey during last 50 years has gone through Mianwali due to establishment of No. 1 fighter conversion unit (FCU). Female fighter pilots are a new addition to this conservative area. True to PAF tradition, living standards & quality of life is top notch 😀

CII has no power. It’s a common law country
Pakistan is already a Sharia law country, you know that right? There's the Islamic Ideology Council and all. And they don't need all this for a domestic crackdown on Imran Khan's supporters. No, this isn't what any of that is about. Let's just say I believe Pakistan is preparing for a new war. A new Jihad. Remember, as per Pakistan's official definition of Jihad, a Jihad is only valid when the state gives an official call for one. So the next question would be: war with who? 1. India 2. Taliban 3. Houthis 4. All of the above Take your pick.

As to that in Pak religious minorities holy days are paid holidays for members of those communities. Like Diwali Holi for Hindus and Easter for Christians.
- Jordan - Lebanon - Syria - Iraq (made permanent in 2023) - Sudan - Egypt (celebrated on January 7th for Coptic Orthodox Christians, and recognized nationally) - Pakistan (December 25th is officially a public holiday, concurrently observed as the birthday of the country's founder) - Malaysia - Indonesia (As the world's most populous Muslim-majority country, it officially recognizes Christmas, Good Friday and Easter Sunday/Easter Monday as national public holidays) - Bangladesh - Brunei (While Brunei allows public recognition for Christian minorities, strict public celebration restrictions for Muslims apply under local Sharia law changes) - Senegal (widely observed and celebrated as a national public holiday despite a large Muslim majority) Guinea (A predominantly Muslim nation, it officially observes Easter-related days like Easter Monday and/or Easter Friday on its national calendar)

BLA has used Taliban for operation they themslves can't do. (Like attacking security forces versus soft targets, as UAS have arrived their biggest advantage has been negated so they turn to Talibs)
That was in the early days of Taliban takeover when BLA was afraid of the Taliban and saw them as a Pakistani proxy. Many BLA members temporarily fled Afghanistan for Iran, thinking they will be hunted down by the Taliban. But things have changed since then. Soon after, BLA discovered that Taliban are not exactly a Pakistani proxy and many Taliban actually hate Pakistan to the extent that they see Pakistan as the next target. Eventually deals and understandings were made and BLA has since made a return to Afghanistan. Of course, it also has presence in Iran and Pakistan itself. Right now BLA is not only closely aligned with the Afghan and Pakistani Taliban but there's operational collaboration too. In fact, there's ample evidence that on at least two occasions, BLA quite literally acted as a proxy of the Afghan Taliban.

I think the Trump administration should help Pakistan make that final decision.
