One thing that always amazes me about SecurityScorecard is the scale of intelligence we collect ourselves! Behind every rating and alert is proprietary data on malware infrastructure, weaponized CVEs, zero-days, AI vulnerabilities, and global attack surface exposure. We don't buy our intelligence - we build it! Our systems continuously scan and analyze the internet, pinging IPv4 and IPv6 space multiple times a day. We operate one of the industry's largest malware sinkholes and collect significantly more security telemetry than traditional competitors. More importantly, it's not about more data - it's about better signal and LESS NOISE. Better signal leads to earlier detection, faster response, and better outcomes for customers. Proud of the team making this happen every day. #STRIKE #CyberSecurity #ThreatIntelligence #AI #CyberRisk #SecurityScorecard

A few years ago, SecurityScorecard @security_score released a report at the World Economic Forum in Davos that made a simple but uncomfortable point: 👉 Cybersecurity resilience strongly correlates with GDP. Wealthier economies tend to be more cyber-resilient — not by accident, but because sustained investment, measurement, and accountability matter. You can view this exciting report here (docsend.com/view/psi9ajmccb3…). The data hasn’t changed: * 10 threat actor groups drive 44% of global cyber incidents * 24% of incidents originate from China; 15% from Russia * 98% of organizations rely on at least one third party that has already been breached * There's a statistically significant correlation (≈0.79) between GDP per capita and cybersecurity hygiene In other words: Cyber risk isn’t random. It’s systemic, measurable, and deeply tied to economic resilience. As geopolitical tension rises and supply chains remain deeply interconnected, you can’t manage cyber risk if you can’t measure it via objective trusted KPIs. #Security #Davos #CyberRisk #WEF #Geopolitics #ThirdPartyRisk #Boards

Check out the great research done by the @security_score STRIKE team!
🚨 SECURITY ALERT: Chinese hackers have infiltrated 1,000+ networks using a sophisticated campaign called "LapDogs" — they're targeting everyday business routers and turning them into spy tools. 90% of victims are in the US and Southeast Asia. Most organizations have no idea they're compromised. Our cybersecurity team just released an exclusive report breaking down: 🔎 How the attacks work 📱 Which devices are targeted 🔏 How to protect your network 🔗 bit.ly/4n8OVLL

As someone who immigrated here and is really grateful to live in America, Thanksgiving has become one of my favorite holidays. I have the immense pleasure of working with the most talented, resilient, and dedicated team at SecurityScorecard @security_score on our mission to make the world a safer place. It’s been an amazing journey and I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for everything we’ve accomplished together this year. To name just a few: We’ve brought our MAX service to the world, and it’s changing the way organizations tackle their risk landscape. Our team of experts has redefined third party risk management and is paving the way for the future of Supply Chain Detection and Response. Organizations can now answer questionnaires and complete assessments with ease as we release more LLM and AI capabilities into the platform. Thought leadership is crucial in the ever-expanding cybersecurity landscape, and we’re lucky to have devoted strategic partnerships with groups like KPMG, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Evolution Equity, the World Economic Forum, and more to collaborate on events and joint studies in hopes of educating the world about cyber risk. I’m inspired everyday by the brilliant Scorecarders and customers around me. A company is only as good as the people it keeps, and I’m extremely thankful to work with each and every one of you. I wish you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving (for those celebrating in the US) and I hope everyone takes the time to unplug, recharge, and spend time with loved ones. I look forward to continuing on our journey to become a $1B (revenue!) company, but more importantly, to contribute to a better future! #thanksgiving #thankyou #security

Continuous growth mindset is key at SecurityScorecard @security_score. I wanted to share a few snippets, from an otherwise fairly dry book "Brave New Work", which I paraphrased below. "Nassim Taleb introduced the concept of the barbell strategy in his book "The black swan". This financial strategy distributes risk to two extremes: invest 85-90% of your assets in extremely safe instruments, and place all of the remainder in highly speculative bets. The "sure things" will create a floor for performance, limiting your downside risk, while the "wild swings" will expose you to potentially life-changing gains. The same strategy can be applied in a company - where your project portfolio is probably a bell curve, but it could be a barbell." I'd much rather see F, F, F, A, F, F, A performance instead of a consistent B-, B-, B-, B-, B-, B- - where we aim for 10x hits in some of what we do. It's better to fail a 100 times and once win the U.S. Open tennis championship than to win a 100 times in a row, a local tennis tournament at your club.

Sounds like a bad decision. Now the adversary can infect any of the systems and get in? Crowstrike is a top notch company - everyone can have a bad day. What's their to say about literally every company out there? Tesla never has glitch with its autopilot?

Replying to @Jason
We just deleted Crowdstrike from all our systems, so no rollouts at all

Aleksandr Yampolskiy, CEO, SecurityScorecard said : “When I used to work at Goldman Sachs, the policy was to get tools from multiple vendors. This way, if one firewall goes down by one vendor, you have another vendor who may be more resilient. Today’s global outage reminds us of the fragility and systemic “nth-party” concentration risk of the technology that runs everyday life: airlines, banks, telecoms, stock exchanges, and more. SecurityScorecard, in collaboration with McKinsey, produced researchOpens a new window  showing that 62% of the global external attack surface is concentrated in the products and services of just 15 companies. An outage is just another form of a security incident. Antifragility in these situations comes from not putting all your eggs in one basket. You need to have diverse systems, know where your single points of failure are, and proactively stress-test through tabletop exercises and simulations of outages. Consider the “chaos monkey” concept, where you deliberately break your systems—e.g., shut down your database or make your firewall malfunction to see how your computers react. spiceworks.com/tech/tech-gen…
