Another year, another Project Citizen! We had a great time with our first-years in DC this week during their experiential orientation. They heard from alumni on the Hill, visited the World Bank & EU Delegation, toured the Capitol and more as they begin their time at Duke.
We are encouraged by the momentum behind the Protect College Sports Act and support its passage. We thank @SenThomTillis, @TedBuddNC, @SenCapito, @SenTedCruz, @SenatorCantwell, & @LeaderJohnThune for their engagement and look forward to progress on this bipartisan bill.

Attendees heard from our PreMiEr Center researchers and Duke Health System innovators about the many ways Duke is leading the state in research and patient care.
A Duke researcher spent 5 years studying future service dogs to map how puppies develop thinking skills & why they’re so good at understanding humans. Identifying early traits linked to success, service dog organizations can train more effectively.
