As an oil and gas enthusiast, it gladdens my heart to see that the Olokola LNG fast plant is being brought to the fore again. Initial conceived in 2005, abandoned in 2013. It was to export 2 billion cubic feet of gas daily. Olokola LNG was supposed to rival NLNG for the export of LNG. It was deemed economically unviable due to the prevailing price of gas then and lack of infrastructure. While NLNG is not in a free trade zone, the act that sets it up makes provision for guaranteed incentives(not limited to fiscal incentives) and assurances. It would have been difficult for OK LNG to rival NLNG. Right now, the infrastructures are aligning to make OK LNG viable. We have OB3 pipeline and a seaport. We also have better macroeconomics environment and fiscal incentives for gas production. NNPC confirmed in 2024 that it was talking to investors about OK and Brass LNG projects

We have all seen the people who have come out of shell , gtb , Access, interswitch and gone on to do big things . I haven鈥檛 seen anybody from his companies that has done something big or impactful outside . That鈥檚 one of his biggest red flag for me .

4100 new jobs is a net negative to Nigeria? You see this is why it's always laughable when someone with a political/communist mindset tries to pose as "economic analyst" Go and open your own factory then employ over 4k people and then pay them better Until then please be quiet
He is a net negative to Nigeria. One of the major benefits of such industries should be contributing huge numbers to the middle class. He destroys the middle class and is fast doing so across sectors . Need a popular international journalist to do a documentary about this.

Meanwhile a good chunk of the 2% are Indians. I think the guy just hates Nigerians. Thats the only explanation that makes sense to me
For more context, about 4,016 employees which is roughly 98% of the workforce earn below N500k net salary per month. Only around 2% earn above N500k net monthly. The numbers indicate a workforce structure where the big paycheques are concentrated among a very small percentage of employees.

These are some crazy numbers man. Wondering why it wasn鈥檛 classified under finance cost cos I鈥檓 sure these aren鈥檛 just bank charges
Dangote Refinery paid N86 billion in Bank Charges in the first half of the year. This is more than the cost of 4,106 employees (salaries, pension etc) which is N76 billion. Who is Dangote Refinery's Banker?

Nigeria is too big for the numbers of power generating plants we currently have. It will be dream if we hope for 247 power supply even in the next 10 years. I say again...each LG should have their own power plants....Solar,wind,water,coal, LNG....and many more options dey......to generate power.
