Brussels has frozen national social media age verification laws in Austria and Flanders for 12 months.
You might assume it finally noticed the privacy and free speech problem.
It didn’t.
The Commission wants its own EU KIDS Act to go first, and that law is far bigger. Every user on social media, app stores, online games and AI chatbots would have to prove their age through a government-approved system. Anyone whose age “cannot be established” would have their account disabled.
Adults who refuse to verify would be treated as children.
The Commission’s own age verification app was hacked in under two minutes. The fight in Brussels was never about whether to check your ID. It’s about who gets to do it.

The UK is introducing a new law that could send people to prison for possessing certain types of p*rn, including face-sitting videos that depict suffocation, even if they made or downloaded them for private use.
Starting November 6, it will be illegal to possess or share realistic porn showing strangulation, suffocation, certain incest scenarios, or sexual activity involving someone pretending to be under 16.
Possession can carry up to two or three years in prison, depending on the content. Sharing or publishing it can lead to up to 5 years.
The law also covers privately recorded videos, not just content sold on p*rn websites.

And so, once she could confirm that the person she used to be had at least truly understood and felt love deeply, she stopped searching.

About the Tsaritsa's present...
She trusts neither her memories nor her own feelings. Yet that doubt would strip a ruler of the decisiveness she must possess.
She has every reason to resent for what she had suffered, should every reason to settle the debts of past grudges. Yet that rage would strip a ruler of the reason they must possess.
And so, she casts aside her past and chooses to live only in the present.
Anastasya never takes her eyes off the sword hanging over them all. Someone has to do it. Someone must do it.
For the sake of Snezhnaya and the entire world, she must always make the best decisions in the name of the Pale Star.
Her decisions are sometimes cold, sometimes harsh.
Yet those among her people who still choose to draw close to her can always see through to the gentle warmth beneath.

She knows that against the Heavenly Principles, even our "King" is just another ordinary piece on the board.

UK Gov, do you know how difficult school can be when you're being bullied, and the only good thing you have at the end of the day is being able to talk to your mates online?
You've already made adults' online spaces less accessible. Why stop there? Why make life even more miserable for young people?
Do you know how hard it is to be a teen in this contry?
There is only ONE good thing I can see coming out of this:
It might finally put a stop to underage gambling through things like FIFA Ultimate Team.

Ireland spent two years prosecuting a man over an X post. Police raided his home and seized his devices. The law he was charged under never defines “grossly offensive.” A judge has now acquitted him, and he left court promising to be “a lot more careful.” The process was the punishment, and it worked.
