But felony convictions DO prohibit 19 million people in the US from earning a living in more ordinary roles, like firefighting or pest control work.

ALT Trans and nonbinary voters, know your rights at the polls! 1. No state's voter ID law includes gender marker requirements! You should not be stopped from voting because the gender marker on your ID does not "match" your gender presentation. 2. Poll workers should evaluate your ID to make sure it meets your state's requirements and matches your voter data. It's not their job to evaluate your ID's gender marker! If the relevant information from your voter registration matches your ID, you have the right to vote. If you're challenged at the polls, check if there is a volunteer or attorney on site or contact Election Protection (866-OUR-VOTE). As a last resort: Do not leave without casting a provisional ballot and getting instructions on how to make it count.
