My first article as gone live on @scribehound_ctr! An introductory piece discussing some of the ideological underpinnings of the countryside that Labour have abandoned. Looking forward to some high-level debate about the future of our country! scribehound.com/countryside/…

Had our first lambs born today, over a week early and didn’t survive sadly. I wrote this article for @scribehound_ctr about how bloody awful but rewarding lambing can be. Not for the squeamish! Hopefully the next ones will be a success.

As someone who is better acquainted with 'The Tree That Smells of Sex and Death' than most folk, I recommend that you read this delightful piece about the not so humble hawthorn. Our #CountrySlide co-host @RichPrideaux nails this for @scribehound_ctr scribehound.com/countryside/…

My latest for @scribehound_ctr resulted in NE supremo Tony Juniper blocking me on X. Having listened to Angela Rayner's interview on the BBC today, I would say nature needs people more than ever to stand up, not live in a circle jerk echo chamber. scribehound.com/countryside/…

From my December article for @scribehound_ctr . My usual stuff (wild food and rural curios) didn't seem quite right, + others have covered the grant fiasco with eloquence I cannot even approach. So I wrote about winter, mental health + rural resilience. scribehound.com/countryside/…
